Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
Today’s article has a donated Season Pass from our friend Splat. If you’d like to enter to win that Season Pass, log in here to Marvel Snap Zone – follow both me, PulseGlazer, and Splaticus on Twitch (it’s free!), and comment “done” along here with your Twitch username. I’ll contact the winner by email at the start of next week.
In addition, this video also has your chance to win a FREE Captain Carter along with three more decks, so check it out!

It seems like the problem with Captain Carter on day 1 was a bit overstated. Yes, the card is still clunky at times, but the problems with the card appear to largely have been twofold.
The first and perhaps biggest problem is that in a week with two Ongoing cards releasing, Captain Carter was just too easy to counter. Whether it was Super-Skrull, Enchantress, or Rogue, Captain Carter felt like she was doing as much for your opponents as she was for you (at least outside of the Doctor Doom 2099 shell).
The Ongoing shells she was going in were also a pretty major problem. Not only were these a feast for the above tech cards, but they also don’t really play enough cards late or have the energy curve to work with Captain Carter. As it turns out, good stuff and Silver Surfer shells (i.e. the decks that best use Galacta and Gwenpool) really like a target that they can hit and then spread the buff.
Suddenly, Captain Carter isn’t so bad.
Splat sent me this list and his stats and I was impressed, but lots of decks can look good pre-Infinite. Then Splat noted that these were his stats in Infinite, and wow, this is wild! Splat went a ridiculous 24-6 with the list. I followed it up with a paltry 9-4, but in those 13 games I won 24 cubes.
At first glance, this list seems like it won’t work and relies too much on Zabu, but that wasn’t the case when I played it. Yes, Zabu is a huge boon and win condition, and yes Sera is also really important, but the deck can drop insane power and compete regardless.
Galacta and Gwenpool are absolutely key plays here, as any boost from either of them onto Brood, Sebastian Shaw, or Captain Carter gets scaled upwards. Furthermore, when Brood goes behind even a base Carter, that’s already a 15 Power lane, and it’s possible to scale higher with Silver Surfer.
And while Surfer is a nice card here, he’s absolutely not pivotal to the end game. Often at the end of the game, a powerful Brood or Shaw play along with a tech card—Shang-Chi or Enchantress—will win the game for the player.
This list is clunky and it can be hard to get everything out, but the sudden late power you can put out is absolutely stellar.
