During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold, and Credits!
You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. However, you don’t have to play the card during the course of the match for it to count, it just needs to be in your starting twelve!
There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.
Marvel Rivals: Bonus Challenges – December 6, 2024
This week’s Bonus Challenge Missions are:
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play On Reveal Cards | 15 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Luna Snow starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Galacta starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you a few different decks that incorporate all the cards featured each weekend. You can find the current best performing deck for each card down below, as well as some other options to match your collection or play style preferences.
We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new cards’ performance this week.

Luna Snow Performance

With Deadpool’s Diner inflating cubes and bots helping the early season climb, it is close to impossible to figure out a card’s real performance based on the metrics. At best, I could say this is a good representation of the potential of Luna Snow. It quickly found a spot in Silver Surfer decks without really changing the core of the deck (in my opinion, at least).
Looking at the Win Rate, Luna Snow is doing pretty well for a card that I haven’t seen much hype around. The overall ranking, however, might be a little more concerning. Although a 54.9% Win Rate is pretty good, ranking #136 overall might indicate that a lot of cards are reaching that threshold at the moment.
Post-Release Score:
Galacta Performance

Galacta is seems to be living up to the early performance of her predecessors. Sure, it is difficult to see what she is really worth with bots and Deadpool’s Diner messing with the stats, but #31 overall is pretty much on par with what Agent Venom and Surtur did back when they released.
Granted, the synergies for this card aren’t as straightforward as the two previous Season Pass cards, and we might end up seeing Galacta in more diverse decks as the season progresses. For those who are looking for a powerhouse that pushes a new deck, Galacta hasn’t exactly delivered on that front. Instead, she’s serving as a good support card in already known archetypes.
Post-Release Score:
Top Choice
There should be plenty of Silver Surfer during this week, as the archetype can allow you to complete the missions for both cards, either together or separately. As always, Silver Surfer is a fairly flexible archetype when it comes to which 3-Cost cards you choose to play, but Galacta makes certain choices more interesting than others. Psylocke, for example, could replace Forge if you include three 4-Cost cards in your list.
If you want even more energy gains by playing both Hope Summers and Luna Snow, you could remove Nova and Killmonger to play Spider-Ham or another utility 1-Cost instead.
Luna Snow Decks
Silver Surfer is the go-to archetype for Luna Snow at the moment, but if you don’t like playing that deck it seems that Galactus Junk is another decent home for the new card.
Luna Snow serves as another way to gain energy alongside Electro, allowing you to skip Turn 4 to play Hobgoblin and Galactus faster.
While I don’t expect this deck to climb a ton due to opponents Retreating often or countering you, it could get the missions done efficiently. Indeed, an early Retreat from an opponent who is scared of Galactus will do just fine to advance your mission progress.
Galacta Decks
Even though she might not have changed the meta, Galacta is a very flexible card that is able to contribute to a variety of archetypes. As such, I have no doubt that completing the card’s missions will be fairly simple every weekend this season.
The competitive players can turn to Wiccan, Silver Surfer, or the new Agent Venom deck to climb while completing the missions. Those who are looking for a more exotic experience can turn to various fun gimmicks, such as buffing Nimrod or Black Panther.
Closing Thoughts
Overall, the missions this week don’t look particularly difficult to complete considering both cards can be used in competitive archetypes. The real question is whether those cards have a future in the game, or if they’re simply the flavor of the week until they fade away after new cards come around.
Galacta is definitely the more flexible option, which I believe has staying power. Luna Snow, on the other hand, only found a real purpose in the Silver Surfer deck, and it was already able to use Hope Summers instead.
Hopefully this guide helps you decide if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, as well as what you can play to complete the missions quickly!
Good Game Everyone.
