During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold, and Credits!
You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. However, you don’t have to play the card during the course of the match for it to count, it just needs to be in your starting twelve!
There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.
War of the Nine Realms: Bonus Challenges – November 29, 2024

| Win with Gorr starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Surtur starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you a few different decks that incorporate all the cards featured each weekend. You can find the current best performing deck for each card down below, as well as some other options to match your collection or play style preferences.
We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new card’s performance this week.

Gorr Performance

It seems like Deadpool’s Diner is messing with the cube metrics, so let’s focus on only the Win Rate this week. The difference between the On Draw score and the On Play score is the biggest gap that I’ve seen in a very long time. This shows how good Gorr is, but also how fragile the decks it is played in can be when Gorr isn’t around to win a location. I would guess that a lot of those games were played with a Mister Negative deck, which is notorious for heavily relying on good Snaps and Retreats to compensate for a less-than-stable Win Rate.
After a few days, Gorr looks like a great Marvel Snap card if you play the game by one of its core philosophies: win big and lose little. Indeed, Gorr has all the indications of a Snap worthy card, especially in the right decks.

Surtur Performance

Yup, the Cube Rate metric is definitely messed up at the moment, so I’m just going to ignore it. Fortunately for Surtur, its biggest upside is its Win Rate, as that is often the main way to climb with points-driven decks. Indeed, if Gorr pushes for a Snap and Retreat focused game plan, Surtur tries to push more reliable strategies that want to Snap early and force the opponent to play for more (or just give you a cube after playing one or two turns).
The nerf two weeks ago limited Surtur a bit, but the Season Pass card remains a solid building block nevertheless.

Gorr Decks
Mister Negative is obviously one of the better decks you can turn to for completing the missions this weekend. The deck is high-roll based, so your focus should be on making good Snaps and Retreats. The unfortunate part is that a bad streak of draws can force you to Retreat a few times, which can be a super frustrating outcome when you are just looking to complete the missions. On the other hand, you could just complete your missions in a couple minutes by Snapping on Turn 2 and getting the wins immediately.
For those looking for a more stable experience, the Agent Venom deck should give you more control over the course of most games. However, the deck will also require you to be more focused and precise in your plays to emerge victorious.
Long story short, you can choose whatever you want to play with Gorr. The card is good enough that getting four wins should be easy.
Surtur Decks
Surtur continues to offer proactive and very effective decks for completing the missions week after week. This time around, Surtur and his friends bring their power to the Wiccan and the Thanos shell, both of which are well-known foundations.
When they start hot, these decks should force some early Retreats from opponents, so they’re perfect for completing the missions in no time. Also, these are on-curve decks, meaning a slow start could mean a quick Retreat before moving on to the next one. In either case, you want to focus on proactive development for priority, especially heading into the turn you plan to play Alioth.
Closing Thoughts
This month, the weekend missions have been fairly simple to complete since every card quickly found a deck to be played in among the competitive options. Gorr continued that trend, as it was immediately paired with Mister Negative (and also found a slot in some other decks). Surtur has been a part of the meta all month long, even after it and Skaar both lost a power a couple weeks ago.
Hopefully this guide helps you decide if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, as well as what you can play to complete the missions quickly!
Good Game Everyone.
