During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold, and Credits!
You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. However, you don’t have to play the card during the course of the match for it to count, it just needs to be in your starting twelve!
There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.
War of the Nine Realms: Bonus Challenges – November 22, 2024
This week’s Bonus Challenge Missions are:
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Destroy Cards | 15 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Fenris Wolf starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Surtur starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you a few different decks that incorporate all the cards featured each weekend. You can find the current best performing deck for each card down below, as well as two other options to match your collection or play style preferences.
We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new card’s performance this week.
For more information about the new card, make sure to check out our latest strategy guide on Fenris Wolf as well:
Fenris Wolf Performance

Fenris Wolf has been disappointing to say the least. Not only is the card’s performance average at best, the metrics when you play Fenris Wolf are worse than if you just keep the card in your hand.
The archetypes that are able to play the card, such as Discard Dracula, Sera Control, and Mill, are pretty good in the current meta, so Fenris Wolf really has no excuses for its poor showing thus far. Things could pick up in the future, though. Maybe a lot of players are still learning how to properly use the card. Still, this is another loss for the Activate keyword for now.
Post-Release Score:
Surtur Performance

Following a down week after being nerfed alongside Skaar, Surtur regained a lot of momentum, returning to its status of a solid, high-impact card in Marvel Snap. In particular, you can see there’s a huge difference between the On Play and On Draw numbers, which shows the impact Surtur still has—even as a [3/4]—in decks built for its ability.
Post-Release Score:
Fenris Wolf Decks
For a card with poor results, Fenris Wolf has a lot of strong decks that it can be played in. As such, if you regret spending Spotlight Keys on the card, you should at least be able to get the weekend missions done fairly easily.
Performance wise, the Sera Control deck is the best one, but the Discard and Good Cards lists are easier to pilot if you have no experience with (or don’t like playing) a Control deck. Mill is both the most difficult and the weakest of the bunch, but it’s also the one you can tinker with the most to suit your play style.
Surtur Decks
The 10 Power deck has regained some vigor in the last week, and it’s a pretty simple archetype that anyone can pick up to finish their missions and move on. If you are looking for a game plan that is a bit more complex, both the Good Cards and the Double Up archetypes are posting solid performances at the moment.
It is worth noting that the Good Cards build has both a Fenris Wolf and a Surtur build. Both decks look fairly different, but there may be a way to mix them in an attempt to complete both missions at once.
Closing Thoughts
Surtur is back to being a great card, and Fenris Wolf is played in some of the strongest archetypes in the game (even if its contribution has yet to be proven). This makes both cards more than reasonable when it comes to winning four or eight games to complete this weekend’s missions. You even have the luxury of picking which type of gameplay you prefer!
Hopefully this guide helps you decide if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, as well as what you can play to complete the missions quickly!
Good Game Everyone.
