Blizzard Beats Bundle Guide – Details and Analysis

Buyer's guide to the Blizzard Beats Marvel Snap Bundle with details and analysis. How good is it in comparison to other bundles?

It’s barely been 2 weeks since the last bundle containing a Series 5 card, and here we are again with another such bundle. Well, let’s analyze its value considering the upcoming changes, as well as the Luna Snow value.

This is the first bundle we will analyze considering the upcoming Snap Packs system, where a key change for calculating bundles is the replacement of Spotlight Keys in the CL track with 3,000 Collector’s Tokens.

Under the old system, 2,000 Credits would give us 246 Collector’s Tokens, including those a player would receive by opening Spotlight Caches with those Credits. Now, the number of Tokens has increased to 1,314, which raises the Tokens per Gold ratio from 0.65 to 0.86, just like the recent Perfectly Calculated bundle, which specializes in Tokens!

Moreover, there’s a difference in the total number of cards you’ll get for the resources in the bundle, but it’s not that significant – 0.71 Series 5 card with the current system versus 0.72 with the upcoming system.

Thus, although the Progress Value in both cases is 112%, with the upcoming system, you’ll ultimately get just a bit more cards, even when purchasing them for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens, with better control and no randomness. It looks like a win-win for me. Now, let’s return to the analysis.

Our detailed analysis of the new system (from what we know so far).

Comparison With Other Bundles

Since, as mentioned earlier, the Progress Value with the new system doesn’t change (assuming that the Collector’s Tokens and Credits will cost the same as they do now), so the position of the bundle relative to others in this regard remains unchanged as well.

Here we see a rather disappointing picture – the bundle, depending on the comparison method, sometimes barely reaches the average level, and at times significantly falls below the average value. This is evident in the case of comparing the bundle with other bundles for Gold over the past 6 months (Chart 2) or when comparing with bundles of the same price for a similar period (Chart 4).

When it comes to Tokens per Gold, the bundle is barely above average in the new system, as other bundles containing Credits have increased the number of Tokens.

In terms of the number of Series 5 cards for 700 Gold, the result is average and unremarkable. It’s hard to recommend the bundle if you want to maximize your Progress Value for your collection.

What if you don’t have Luna Snow?

Now let’s quickly analyze the situation where you don’t have Luna Snow.

In this case, if you get her variant, you’ll be able to play with it instead of the base version, essentially getting a Series 5 card for free. And of course, in this case, the Progress Value skyrockets to 272%.

Of course, this already suggests that it’s worth getting the bundle, especially considering that in all comparative charts, the bundle is also at the top. But let’s discuss the question “do you even need Luna Snow or not” in the next section.

The Usefulness of the Variant in the Meta

So, let’s try to answer the question “Do you even need Luna Snow?”.

In the current meta, Luna Snow plays effectively only in one niche build of High Evolutionary, while other High Evo variants with affliction cards are often preferred. In all other decks, Luna Snow has an experimental nature and usually doesn’t remain there as a stable card.

The potential of Luna Snow still hasn’t been realized after 4 months since her release, even after the buffs in one of the OTA updates. To this day, Luna Snow belongs to Tier 4 of Series 5 cards, alongside cards like Emperor Hulkling, Redwing, and Sersi, and it’s unlikely that she’ll see play in the foreseeable future.

Conclusion

In the end, the bundle turned out to be quite weak – at such a high price, without Luna Snow, it barely reaches the average value among bundles. Even if you don’t have Luna Snow, it’s still questionable to spend Gold equivalent to 2 months of savings for such a weak and rarely played card.

Thus, I would rather suggest saving 5,000 Gold and buying something better, especially since it’s unclear what the economy of Marvel Snap will be like in a month or two, so Gold might be more useful for you there. Due to the bundle’s limited potential and modest values, I think it’s fair to rate it at 2.5 stars.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
