It looks like there is no saving Weapon X Wolverine anymore, the card being too simple in how it works to be a menace in the higher ranks. Destroy Zoo has become the sole archetype for the season pass card, similarly to a Viv Vision whom ended up as a decent card in Silver Surfer decks, but overall barely had an impact on her season.
On the other hand, Aurora is off to a better start than I would have expected.
The new 6-cost found multiple lists with enough targets to represent a good amount of power. In all those decks, Aurora serves as a finishing touch, distributing power across the board to force the opponent into beating us on multiple locations at once. Arguably, Aurora will not turn a bad position around, but is a strong way to top a flexible game plan, designed to distribute power across the locations.
| Mission | # | Reward |

| Win with Weapon X Wolverine starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Aurora

Aurora is not very popular, but enjoying a decent start for a card without much hype behind it. Every metric is in the green, both at all ranks or in past Infinite specifically.
One metric is a bit worrisome however : The Win Rate on Play.
When that score is 4% lower than the Win Rate on Draw, it typically tells me the card is being carried by the decks using her, and winning without Aurora being a factor in matches. Plus, the Cube Rate on Play is also much lower than the Cube Rate on Draw.
Typically, that would indicate a card opponents respect and retreat against. But a 6-cost doesn’t exactly work like other cards, because you would play those on the last turn of a match in most occasions. As such, it is possible Aurora is a liability to her deck, and isn’t a strong enough 6-cost to help her deck win when both players are in a contested situation heading into the deciding turn.
So far, Aurora’s decks are mostly Good Cards type of builds, with established great standalone cards in the mix. It is possible the new 6-cost is benefiting from the power of those cards rather than making them better.

Weapon X Wolverine Performance

Following the OTA, there was a chance the season pass card could salvage a difficult start to its season. A week later, it is pretty clear Weapon X Wolverine won’t make it into the higher ranks, as every metric is now below parallel in the Infinite ranks. The situation is different in the rest of the ladder, as Weapon X Wolverine is doing fairly well outside Infinite.
With only a week remaining to the season, it is safe to say this season’s featured card will go down as a niche option, dedicated to one archetype, solid overall but way too rigid to adapt to the higher ranks of Marvel Snap.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Aurora is being played in a variety of lists, all built around strong standalone cards and flexible play-patterns. In these four decks, a strong start will be much more important than finding Aurora, whom will act as a way to solidify a solid position rather than turn around a losing situation.
These lists corroborate what we saw in the statistics about the new 6-cost : Aurora is good enough to represent the finishing touch of a flexible strategy, but should not be relied on unless the game is already on good rails.
Weapon X Wolverine only has one archetype at this point, although you can build it various ways. This is the best performing list for Destroy Zoo, but plenty of cards can serve to adjust to one’s collection. Some lists run Angel, others use Wade Wilson, Nico Minoru is sometimes in the mix…
