Buffed in yesterday’s OTA, Viv Vision has improved its numbers so far. Still not enough to compare to recent season pass releases, but enough to feel like a playable card. So far, the 3-cost is posting her best numbers in the Scream archetype, which makes it a bit difficult to assess her contribution, since that synergy is mostly strong as a counter to Move.
It will be interesting to see if Viv Vision can become a staple in buff oriented decks as a [3/3], or whether the card is definitely a bust we’ll forget about as soon as October starts.
Warlock is not doing well since its release, to put it midly. Indeed, the 3-cost manage to earn the title of “Worst card of the month” from Jim Hammond Human Torch.
At the moment, only High Evolutionary seems to be interested in Warlock’s services, serving as another way to leverage the turn we have to pass for She-Hulk or The Infinaut eventually. If one wanted to play another deck to complete the missions, Warlock would likely have to replace something from the ideal list.
When you make your deck worse, it is typically not a good sign.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| TBA | 15 | 300 Credits |
| Win with Warlock starting in your Deck | 4 | 400 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Viv Vision starting in your Deck | 8 | 200 Gold |
Warlock

Oh boy does it not look good for Warlock so far. The cube average from the entire week is messed up by Deadpool’s Dinner, so let’s just ignore that. Unfortunately, all the metrics are terrible, no matter where we look at.
Indeed, 45.7 to 47% win rate at all ranks is very weak, but 43.5% when we look at Infinite ranks is even worse. Same for the cube average, which is at -0.28, indicating Warlock is neither a good, nor a surprising card.
Last week, Jim Hammond Human Torch took last place amongst cards released this month. Warlock just earned that spot.

Viv Vision Performance

Deadpool Dinner does not allow us to have a good picture of the card’s performance over the entire week at all ranks. However, the results in the Infinite part of the ladder has improved with the OTA. Indeed, Viv Vision was at -0.07 cube average and 48.4% win rate last, week, two metrics much improved since the update.
It is too early to say how big of a change it will represent to the season pass, but Viv Vision at least should end the season on a positive note, after being a disappointment for the most part of the season.

Bonus Challenge Decks
There is a chance both cards can co-exist in a Silver Surfer deck if anyone wanted to try to complete both card’s missions at once. There is a Buff Surfer list in the Viv Vision decks, simply remove Human Torch First Steps for Warlock. Yet, neither Viv Vision nor Warlock are part of the best Silver Surfer build at the moment, so it is hard to say how that strategy would go.
To be fair, except for the Scream deck, none of the archetypes including either card look to be incredible at the moment. And we can attribute Scream’s strength to Move being great, not Scream itself.
Still, here are three decks for each card with a good enough win rate to knock off the missions in a reasonable amount of time. I can’t recommend snapping confidently, but that is not the goal here anyway.
