Vibranium Mines Location Spotlight

Vibranium Mines Featured Location Guide: Strategy, Best Cards and Decks

This week's Marvel Snap Featured Location is Vibranium Mines. Here's our proposed strategy, with the best cards and decks that you can try (including for Pool 1 and Pool 2 players) for the next 48 hours!

This week’s Marvel Snap Featured Location is Vibranium Mines: When you play a card here, shuffle 3 Vibranium into your deck. This is a brand new location that is now added to the Location pool and will show up 40% more frequently in games during the feature period, for the next 48 hours. Let’s find out what the best strategies, cards, and decks are!

What is Vibranium Mines?

Vibranium Mines is as advertised on the tin, the place where the Wakandan’s mine Vibranium. They have gone 1027 days without a safety incident.

Vibranium is so strong even Killmonger cannot break it!

Strategy

Low curve decks can swarm the board and fill your deck with 4 power cards. So the problem is how to then take advantage of these cards when they come out? This a is a harder question.

To take advantage of the location, we will have to play into it earlier and then find room to take advantage of the 1 energy, 4 power cards as they come out. Therefore these have to have more value than drawing other cards you can put in your deck.

As usual, we can think about heavy build-arounds but as Vibranium can’t be destroyed, counters seem more limited than usual.

As for what cards to use, this location could lead to some spicy decks. Quinjet makes the cards Vibranium cost zero. Adam Warlock and Crystal draw cards. These abilities will be super important for pulling off shenanigans with Vibranium.

This week’s Pool 3 starter decks go all in with some interesting card choices. We may find the payoff is just not consistent enough, but for now enjoy the madness which is the Vibranium Mines recommended ideas.

Cards and Deck Ideas

Crystal and Quinjet

Okay, I never thought I would be featuring this card as a synergy. One of the worst cards in Marvel Snap may get its time in the sun! If you can empty your hand before 4, then play Crystal, you hopefully will get 1 to 3 Vibranium which can then be played around the board on 6.

So, empty your hand before 4, play Crystal, draw 3 new cards, Play Blue Marvel, play best combination of cards you have left to push power. Armor to protect your early locations and America Chavez as a backup plan and increases the possibility of drawing Mines… It’s classic Zoo, just different. Perhaps the direction I am most excited about.

Okoye and Nakia

Okoye can be insane with the location if it works. Put a few Vibranium into your deck and buff them. Then they still cannot be destroyed.

This one feels like it will be the less consistent option but continuing the Wakanda month theme is important!

Use Angela, Sunspot, Okoye and Nakia too get Mines in early. Try to buff them again whilst in deck. America Chavez should then lead to more Vibranium being drawn. Use Adam Warlock early also to try to keep drawing the Vibranium. If you can land Quinjet and start drawing you should hopefully get Vibranium you can then use in tandem with your other cards to control the end game.

Cerebro 4

Cerebro 4 – the myth may become the legend. This version is going for a large final turn. Using Quinjet the Vibranium will cost 0 energy. So the more you can gather the better. Therefore we are including Magik and Crystal to try and get as many draws as possible.

As the cards we play with 4 power are not 1 drops, we have not included Ka-Zar. This may be incorrect but as a starting point this seems like it will be a flexible way of trying to spread the power around without relying entirely on Vibranium draws.

Apologies to the new players for this location. I see minimal ways to try to lean into the location. Zoo with America Chavez seems most likely to benefit from the location is the recommendation.

Remember America Chavez will increase the chance of drawing Vibranium. Do not feel the pressure to play her on 6. If you are holding 1 or 2 Vibranium in your hand, combining this with what is left in your hand will net more power than America Chavez every time.

Pool 2 can lean in slightly more than Pool 1. You can put Okoye into the deck to attempt to buff the Vibranium. This could be huge if you draw 1 to 3 buffed Vibranium which cannot be destroyed and land a Ka-Zar or Blue Marvel buff.

A note on Elektra – she is in the deck for her swing potential against Ant Man lanes, which are seen often in Pool 1 and Pool 2.

Good luck out there. We hope these starter decks help you entering into the next 48 hours and look forward to seeing what the community comes up with for Vibranium Mines!

  1. Spectrum also buffs the vibranium cards since they’re ongoing. Been having a lot of success with QuinJet + Spectrum with allowing for late power pushes with them at 0 cost/6 power after the Spectrum buff.
