Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
Move was changed fairly drastically in the last OTA Update. Human Torch and Vulture switched stat lines, but the Vulture also went from getting a whopping +6 per move to a much less daunting +3. There were compensatory minor buffs to other move cards, but neither the point on Topaz nor the one on Doctor Strange seemed to make a huge difference to the archetype. Vulture, being both big, and safe from Killmonger is a major loss. Torch, who grows more slowly, but gets far bigger might be able to compensate, but what does the build look like?
It turns out that Sizer2654, multiple time #1 player and move expert had the answer relatively quickly. He tested out his standard move build both with and without Vulture, and the one that just cut the recently nerfed card ended up far superior, with a 63% win rate in 33g to the other version going a mere 50%.
The deck is now more than ever built around the Human Torch. That card’s massive scaling can solo a lane to the point where even decks like the Living Tribunal may struggle. The question is how to compete both when Torch is drawn late and win another lane.
Dagger is the obvious example. She’s a strong, if often secondary scaler more than capable of winning a lane, but also often not enough. Thus, Kraven was readded. Moving fulll lanes including Kraven using both Cloak and Hellion often takes care of a victory while simultaneously adding unpredictability.
Protecting scalers is the last order of business for the deck and that hasn’t really changed – Cosmo and Alioth do the job. Move just won’t stay dead, so long as Sizer is around, anyway.
