Snap Judgments Deck of the Day: Dormammu PEEF Time!

Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. The Dread Dormammu received two buffs in the most recent OTA. The first of these is that he got an extra two power. Since you are ultimately destroying three cards for him, that extra power is very important. He needs to be a thread to win a lane alone, as he’s quite the investment over the course of the game. The other buff he got was the nerf to Stardust, a card that was everywhere but is seeing far less play.

With those two changes, we were just waiting for the right player to make the right Dormammu deck. It should surprise no one that the player who cracked the code is the great Jeeeeet, the best and most prominent Phoenix Force player in the world. Jeeeeet knows how to use off meta destroy cards, as he puts PF in every deck, and has finished as high as 2 on the Infinite leaderboard.

This deck attacks opponents on four axes. The first is the obvious – Dormammu is big. You use him to challenge a lane. The other is also obvious – Phoenix Force lets you bring back a destroy card, Nimrod, or whatever was destroyed for Dormammu with a good power spike. Nimrod is the perfect card for Dormammu to destroy, especially good with either Phoenix Force or or a card like Forge or Hulkbuster. Finally, Deadpool is very easy to destroy with 5 total destroy cards, and thanks to Hulkbuster and Forge, Deadpool can be absolutely huge.

That’s a lot of win conditions, and Jeeeeet has a 63% win rate in several hundred games as a result. Dormammu has arrived!
