Snap Judgments Deck of the Day: Crazy Consistent Cerebro

Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.

Starter Card

Cerebro 3 has been a top ranked deck for the last two seasons. Usually it’s the standard version – that deck runs a lot of control cards and uses Cerebro to power spike above opponents The weakness is that it can run short on 3s, especially as Juggernaut and Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Red Guardian were all nerfed out of the deck. Now, the more common version is the Jwala version, as he’s been in the top 3 in each of the last three seasons running a little move package.

Now, thanks to the “nerf” to Colleen Wing, she has the same 3 Power as Blade… which means that Swarm is pretty easy to make two 0-3s. And if you get two Zero 3s, in this deck, that often becomes 0-6 or 0-9. When added to the rest of the power of the deck, that’s obviously absurd.

Outside of that, the deck really doesn’t run as much control as it used to, limiting itself to Cosmo to protect the Cerebro, Luke to protect from negative locations, Scarlet Witch for the positive power ones, and Gorgon for Thanos, Arishem, and Victoria Hand. Instead, the deck opts for power and consistency with Sentinel backing up Swarm and Bast allowing Cerebro and Mystique to affect both themselves and Luke Cage.

Oh, and not to bury the lede… this deck peaked at rank 2 and requires ZERO high series cards.

Turn by Turn

1. Turn 1: Blade (whenever if Swarm) > Bast if 2 targets
2. Turn 2: Colleen Wing/Blade (whenever Swarm) > Jeff or Sentinel
3. Turn 3: 2+1 > Cosmo or Luke
4. Turn 4: 2+2 (Scarlet Witch turn if needed)
5. Turn 5: 2+3 (Cerebro second)
6. Turn 6: Cerebro and Mystique or Mystique and another card… drop Swarms.
