Snap Judgments Deck of the Day: Arishem is ALIVE!

Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.

At the end of the previous season, Arishem was still seen as an overall good deck, but during this Season – dominated by Thanos and ScreamArishem has all but disappeared. It probably shouldn’t have, as seen by this great performing deck from Sizer.

Arishem is one of the best tech decks in Marvel Snap. Opponents often assume you don’t have the card, largely because of the size of your deck, and then you should be able to get extra cubes when you do, or retreat for less when you do not. Shadow King, Shang Chi, and Enchantress are all great ways to go about that in this deck, but Juggernaut and Lady Deathstrike work in much the same way. Even Sandman can be a tech card ruining an opponent’s chance to play a key turn 5 card like Sera or messing up a turn 6 discount.

Added to the tech at the bottom end of the curve is card generation. Iron Patriot remains fantastic in Arishem because while opponents go 2 to 3 energy, Arishem goes 2 to4 energy, giving extra equity to winning the IP location. Valentina works much the same, generating a 6 that will cost 4 that can be played immediately.

Tying the deck together, we have Mockingbird and Galacta. The point of each is simple – generate power. Galacta turns your cheap cards into threats, and Mockingbird is an exceedingly cheap 9 Power. Tie it together with Thanos whose draw is great and who, absurdly, can be played on turn 4 if you see a Time Stone, and you have one of the most slept on decks in all of Marvel Snap.

Card Replacements

  1. Twitch.tv/Sizer2654
  2. Needs: Arishem, Thanos, Galacta
  3. IP, Valentina -> Cable, Mirage, Loki, Quinjet
  4. Mockingbird -> She-Hulk

Turn by Turn

  1. Turn 1: Stones that draw.
  2. Turn 2: IP if win, Valentina if not. Stones/generated are fine.
  3. Turn 3: Galacta > Generated stuff… MB sometimes.
  4. Turn 4: Galacta/LDS/Sandman/Thanos
  5. Turn 5: The last 3 of 4.
  6. Turn 6: Shang/Ench/Jugg+

I should be on Stream tomorrow at around 8:00pm EST, so stop by for new card testing tomorrow for the new season!
