Hello everyone and welcome to Sleeper Decks of the Week! I’m Glazer of Snap Judgments: The Official Marvel Snap Zone Podcast, and in this article, I’m going to take you through all of my favorite Sleeper Decks this week. In addition to the podcast (this week’s episode goes over the New Season with Homeboy Maxwell and TeamCounterGaming!), I do my own daily videos where I scour the darkest corners of the net (ahem Twitter and the various Marvel Snap sites) to find the best decks in Marvel Snap before the meta notices.
Remember: Each deck title will take you to a video explanation of the deck, so don’t be shy – check them out!
Blob + Thanos = New Meta

Blob was released in Marvel Snap this week, and the meta immediately shifted. From a place in Tier 3, everyone was suddenly playing Thanos, as he became a Tier 1 card.
Safety BlobNos
Deck Thoughts:
SafetyBlade, the genius deck builder of Marvel Snap Zone, did it again, creating one of the most popular versions of Thanos Blob, and one that’s maintained a high 57% win rate in over a thousand games.
This deck keeps the simple concept of cheating out Professor X using Time Stone or Psylocke then winning another lane with Alioth. Blob is another one-card lane winner to go with Alioth and thus makes the deck significantly more consistent.
This version keeps Elsa Bloodstone as a way to get to the appropriate lane-winning power, providing a huge buff to not just Infinity Stones but also Jeff and Vision. Blue Marvel also helps you go wide on 5 while Devil Dinosaur allows you to go tall.
We’ll do card replacements after the third of these decks, as the first three are fairly similar with the fourth quite different.
Lamby BlobNos
Deck Thoughts:
Lamby is pretty indisputably the best player in the game, finishing #1 on the ladder last season and then winning the Conquerors event right after. Lamby, a former Hearthstone Grandmaster, burst onto the scene playing Thanos, and now he’s back with another build for the Mad Titan.
This deck is fairly similar to the previous, SafetyBlade version, but with a few big cuts. Alioth is gone here, as with Blob in the meta, priority is just harder to win and Blob has proven to be a better, more consistent finisher.
Also gone is Nico Minoru. The so-called seventh Infinity Stone is a casualty of the Mind Stone change, as when drawing two one-cost cards with the Mind Stone, one really wants to maximize the chance that the Time Stone is one of those.
These changes make way for Iron Lad, an extra copy of a powerful card you put in your deck that is often really powerful, and Aero, whose 9 power is great for Blob but can also clog a lane early.
If you want Lamby’s tips and thoughts on this deck, be sure to check the video linked in the title.
W BlobNos
Deck Thoughts:
W is the inventor of numerous insanely powerful decks from Doom Wave to the recent Ms. Marvel Lockdown shell that dominated last month. Here, he returns to Thanos, as it was his idea to initially put Psylocke into the Thanos shell.
W’s deck is the lowest win % deck of these thus far at “only” 55%, but he skyrocketed up to 69th place in Snap with this. The changes for his version are that he has Doctor Octopus, a great way to pack a lane with the best opponent stuff that can be easily won with Blob, and Super-Skrull. Skrull on 4 can turn a mirror match into a one-lane game as it copies the opposing Professor X. From there, your Shadow King and Shang-Chi should give you the win into their Blob.
Okay, replacement time – I don’t think this wants Nico Minoru. Jeff the Baby Land Shark is probably a must-have, but you can try Daredevil. Blob and Thanos are must-have cards. Besides that, mix and match these three decks to your heart’s content.
Dougpie BlobNos
Deck Thoughts:
We just looked at probably my three favorite deck builders in Snap, yet this build from my friend and streamer DougPie is my favorite of them all!
Unlike the others, Doug goes all in on lockdown, adding Storm to the list as a way to make sure that as your opponent tries nonsense, there’s strikingly little board space. Jessica Jones is another great way to put a lot of power on the board and take advantage of Storm.
Daredevil is the MVP here, as everyone expects it to lead to Professor X, but with Gamora, the card is also often stellar. Gladiator is just extra stats, and Magneto is your backup 6-cost card, one able to ruin an opposing Ms. Marvel. Crossbones and Vision are just lane-winning stats that are immune to most counter-cards.
Gladiator may want to be Maximus, Wave, or just Shang-Chi. Outside of Blob and Thanos, the rest are just Series 3 or lower cards.
Black Knight Steps Up!

Black Knight continues to rise and find new homes since the Ebony Blade was reworked to be harder to deal with. It’s now one of the most impactful one-drops and one I used to get to Infinite.
Auto-Black Knight
Deck Thoughts:
Okay, so the auto-deck builder gave me this deck, but it’s clearly someone’s list, as the auto-builder is pulling from decks, or at least card packages, created by real players as it runs its algorithm.
That said, I love this deck. Black Knight here is amazing, as The Infinaut, Giganto, Apocalypse, and Magneto can all be game-winning. At first, I didn’t get
Everything else just works together beautifully outside of the Apocalypse and Hela. Hela here, though, is likely just bringing back 1-2 cards and stealing games. It’s a thing of beauty.
You need Black Knight for this.
BlobKnight
Deck Thoughts:
Buddii is a phenomenal brewer and deck-builder who connects the Japanese and Western metas, but this deck is his sick brew.
Foregoing Hela, this is a Black Knight tempo deck with plenty of room for tech and a Blob to finish things off. The one counter-synergy here is Black Knight really doesn’t want the Blob‘s 4 power, but if you can avoid that, this deck sings.
Ghost Rider is happy to bring a Blob back Ms. Marvel with Crossbones is just a ton of power, and Legion still scams more wins than any other card. There’s a ton to like here and a sick amount of plays and ways to win. It’s even strong into Professor X Thanos, so if you can, give it a try.
Legion can be Vision or Aero. You’ll need Black Knight, but Blob is okay as something like Hela.
Bounce and Good Stuff Survive without Darkhawk

Darkhawk went from a meta staple to just… gone with the release of Blob. Well, the decks that fit the Darkhawk shell are still great, even without him!
Ikas Good Stuff
Deck Thoughts:
Ika built this monster of a deck and Alliance Lowell took it to Top 100 Global Infinite. It’s been my favorite deck to play this week.
Black Bolt and Stature remain a fantastic stat combo capable of taking over a game, and when combined with the Annihilus + Sentry + The Hood combo AND Werewolf By Night with one drops, the power is easy to see. There’s also a ton of scams here, from Spider-Ham blanking a card to Shadow King‘s point reduction to Enchantress ruining Ongoing all the way to Scarlet Witch‘s location randomness. There’s almost always a play and a way to win in nearly any situation if the draws are on your side.
Black Bolt and Stature are strangely hard to replace here with the demise of Darkhawk. Legion and Shang-Chi could perhaps do it. You need Werewolf and Annihilus though.
dddrewsky Bounce + Oti Bounce
Deck Thoughts:
Both of these decks were retaining a 70%+ win rate and are two cards apart. Oti has Forge and Enchantress where Shang-Chi and Iceman are the cards for ddrewsky. Feel free to mix and match.
The power of this deck is simple to see. Beyond the Annihilus package (again) in combination with Werewolf by Night (again). These two together are perhaps the strongest core in Snap. Here, we add bounce in Beast and Falcon to play cards over and over again for a huge Werewolf and a ton of Demons. You can end the game with all those Demons and tech cards – Shadow King and either Enchantress or Shang-Chi. Opponents are in a lot of trouble here.
You need Werewolf and Annihilus. Forge or Iceman replace Nico just fine.
Miscellaneous Decks
These decks don’t fit any theme- they’re just good!
Deired Attuma Ctrl
Deck Thoughts:
Deired dropped us this really cool good stuff deck at the start of the week. Now, it may need Shadow King for America Chavez to handle Blob, but it’s still quite strong.
This whole deck is built around Attuma. He can be played on Armor, have Professor X on him, or get played after Zero. Any of these go a long way to putting a lane out of reach. From there, cards like Nebula or Sunspot that scale, Destroyer with nothing else to Destroy (X or Armor or on Cosmo), The Infinaut with a Sunspot skip, or just good old Dracula can win the game. There are a ton of choices, making this hard to play, but it is quite strong!
It’s also all Series 3 but Nebula, so if you lack Nebula, add Shadow King there.
Galactus Ravonna
Deck Thoughts:
Hey! Galactus really likes it when you clog your opponent. Ravonna Renslayer makes clogging opponent’s way, way easier. The reason for that is largely Goblins, as making them 1-cheaper is an excellent way to make sure your opponents can’t stop your Galactus.
You don’t need Galactus to win, though. The Annihilus package and Alioth are still absolutely back-breaking for opponents. With people focussing on getting their own Professor X or Blob off, you can pick them off with junk, filling them when they aren’t ready, and taking over to win. Besides, when else do you get to run Adam Warlock?
You need Galactus and Annihilus here. Nico is good but can be Jeff or Forge. Legion, too, works as a big, good card like Vision or Aero.
