It’s been just a week since the release of the Pizza Time! bundle, and we’re already receiving another similar bundle with Credits. But is it better than the last one? Let’s find out.

Just like with Pizza Time!, compared to buying Credits in the store, you’re getting an additional 250 free Credits on top. But the Operation: Summer Break bundle offers that amount for just 2,200 Gold instead of 4,200! This makes its Progress Value equal to 110%, giving you a reason to consider the purchase.
Comparison With Other Bundles
On the first chart, dedicated to the position of the bundle within its price category since the introduction of Spotlight Caches, it’s clear that even under such conditions, the bundle looks very respectable and is only outperformed by a couple of other bundles.
On the second chart below, you can see all the named Gold bundles from the last three months, which is a period of not-so-good bundles. This bundle also ranks quite high here and is definitely above average, especially considering that it offers pure Credits instead of Collector’s Tokens like most other bundles, which makes it stand out from the rest.
And finally, the third chart below shows the extreme conditions for comparison, among all bundles after the Spotlight update across all prices. And yes, here the Operation: Summer Break bundle definitely struggles and is below average. Yet, I still consider this a decent result for a bundle that costs just 2,200 Gold, which a F2P player can earn in one season.
The next group of charts is dedicated to the comparison based on the Credits per Gold ratio, which is an especially important value for those not interested in Collector’s Tokens.
And here, on the first chart below, there are also challenging conditions presented for the Operation: Summer Break bundle – among all bundles after the Spotlight update. And yet, the bundle is quite close to the top, showing an excellent result of 1.36 Credits per Gold.
The second chart below compares bundles in this price category, also for the entire period since the launch of the Spotlight system. Again, the result is well above average, but not at the very top of the rankings.
The Usefulness Of The Variant In The Meta
Helicarrier is a Series 3 card, which means those who don’t have it can use it as an alternative to the basic card in their decks. However, I would classify this card as more of a fun option for beginners, since the necessary strong cards like M.O.D.O.K., Corvus Glaive, and Proxima Midnight are unlikely to be available to a player who doesn’t have Helicarrier. Nevertheless, it’s a conditional +1 card in your collection, which isn’t bad.
Veterans, on the other hand, might try to assess the variant in terms of utility in meta decks, and here too, things are not so great. In the current meta, the discard archetype with Helicarrier is almost unrepresented and is quite weak. Nonetheless, below is one of the most popular decks of this archetype that you might want to try out in action.
Conclusion
Thus, the bundle turned out to be quite strong, affordable, and even if it doesn’t include a meta card, it’s not the worst one we could have seen here. Therefore, I can confidently recommend it for purchase to almost everyone. I give it a rating of 4 stars out of 5 only because a 110% Progress Value is very good, of course, but this doesn’t make the bundle a must-have for absolutely everyone.
There’s also a small downside, which is that the bundle gives 0.01 less cards than you would typically receive from purchasing Token Tuesdays, but this is only if you have the complete collection. Otherwise, purchasing this bundle is better than Token Tuesdays in the long run.
Moreover, the next bundle on the horizon is planned for release on July 1st with a 100% Progress Value for an additional 1,000 Gold. Considering this and the fact that there will no longer be bundles with incredible 133% Progress Value (except perhaps as an exception during events), Gold still needs to be spent on something worthwhile. And for a modest price, this is a good opportunity to profit from your Gold, especially if you have accumulated a lot.
