Let’s be fair, this OTA isn’t exciting. The only changes are +1 power buffs to a few cards, with most not being played for their power in the first place. Overall, I’m mostly excited for Hydro-Man and Pixie, who share the same goal of cheating out high-cost cards. En Sabah Nur could even join on that idea if we found a way to populate our front rows reliably.
For those focused on being competitive, Ghost is probably the biggest change in this OTA, as the End of Turn archetype gained a ton of momentum with Isca the Unbeaten. Against that deck, Ghost with any power is a fantastic snap. However, this could make Ghost more appealing against Aurora decks as well, so this one is the most likely to impact the metagame.
A few cards were changed in the latest patch as well, which actually makes for a good amount of updated this week. Unfortunately, we already those didn’t impact the metagame at all, so we’ll have to rely on the OTA to bring a change of pace.

Buffs

Now a [4/6]
Transforms into a [4/9]
The season pass card was off to a slow start, with only Thanos really using its services among competitive archetypes. The buff won’t change much, as the main weakness remains the random pull, but En Sabah Nur should at least represent more power on its own.
Now a [3/8]
The Rocks synergy is around the corner so it is only fair to buff one of the obvious cards that will contend for a spot in that archetype. Plus, Debrii synergizes with En Sabah Nur to fill our front rows.

The Tiger is now 10 power
Going from 9 to 10 power changes many things. Indeed, the Tiger now synergizes with Shang-Chi, which can be bad, and Skaar, which is really good.

Now a [3/5]
The end of turn synergy got a big boost with Isca the Unbeaten joining Marvel Snap at the start of the season. Instead of nerfing that archetype, I love the buff to Ghost. The card was already gaining some momentum, but that spotlight should make Ghost even more popular in the near future.

Now a [5/9]

Now a [2/3]
Hydro-Man was mostly used for its ability, not its power. One more is always better, but I doubt this will change the fortune of Hydro-Man. However, there is also a change to Pixie, and both cards can co-exist in a deck designed to discount high-cost cards and craft surprising turns down the line.
The deck probably won’t function without the high-rolls it is built around, but more power at least gives us a chance to give it another try.

Good Game Everyone!
