After being the standout of the last round of High Voltage despite not being able to beat the Good Cards strategy, Patriot is now the top dog in High Voltage. It’s even stronger with the reinforcements brought by the current season; the Ongoing synergy is also just doing great right now (although it does its best work when mixing in a bit of disruption).
Indeed, the likes of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Juggernaut, and Magneto are still very popular, which means it can be tough to stack specific cards in the same location for synergies. The more flexible builds tend to be the best performers, with Professor X as the little spice to counter Patriot and other decks looking to summon cards all over the place.
High Voltage is much more about completing your quests every 8 hours than winning all your games. Even though this tier list ranks all decks based on their ability to win games in this mode, feel free to simply consider this a suggestion of decks to complete the various quests the game gives you.
Happy Tier List, everyone!

| Tier 3 | Ongoing Tribunal 59% Win Rate |
Tier 1
Patriot
Performance: 63.5% Win Rate
Even with all the energy you’re given, it isn’t that simple to play enough cards to contest all locations, which has lead to most decks focusing on just two. To solve that issue, a lot of decks are running Ultron as a standalone card. Patriot was the deck that originated that idea, and it will win the location filled with Drones thanks to the buffs they receive.
Also, in case Ultron doesn’t show up, there is more than enough in the deck to still spread power all across the board on top of a bit of disruption.
Potential Additions
Shadow King, Cosmo, and Juggernaut are the flexible cards in the deck. Feel free to slot any strong card you wish instead.
Ongoing
Performance: 62% Win Rate
Professor X seems to be the secret spice for the Ongoing synergy, which is otherwise around a 60% Win Rate mark with other lists. There isn’t much moving in High Voltage; most decks just use Ultron or Klaw to affect other locations. If you manage to land a good Professor X, you only have to dump as many points as possible on one other site to secure the win.
Potential Additions
Ongoing themed or counter cards (think Super-Skrull) make sense in the deck. Sera is the best addition in my opinion if you’re missing Moonstone.
Tier 2
Toxic Surfer
Performance: 61% Win Rate
High Voltage is the land of combo strategies. With Patriot spreading points all across the board, Hazmat is particularly good. Combined, both factors make Toxic Surfer a great deck if you don’t enjoy proactive strategies and would rather just try to pull off combos.
Potential Additions
Rogue is the flexible card in the deck. Juggernaut, Copycat, and other strong 3-Cost cards can replace it.
Good Cards Patriot
Performance: 61% Win Rate
Good Cards and Patriot were the two best decks in the previous High Voltage event. Clearly, Patriot won that battle, as the card has now invited itself into the Good Cards deck for this edition. It is in there just for Ultron support, but that can give you a location against anyone not running Patriot. Plus, you typically have enough cards to not miss plays in case you draw into Patriot without Ultron.
Potential Additions
Legion, Vision, Baron Zemo, Gwenpool, Sera… Any strong standalone card for High Voltage makes sense to run in this deck.
Sauron 10 power
Performance: 60.5% Win Rate
High Voltage is slowly shifting to a “throw points all over the place” kind of mode, which does not play to Sauron 10 Power’s strong suits. Indeed, the deck will typically not be able to spread points across all locations and will have to focus on two lanes. That is fine when you win those two lanes, but lose one and the match is gone.
Potential Additions
Most 10+ power cards can make sense in this deck. Considering the energy you have available, a bit of greed would not hurt.
KaZoo
Performance: 60.5% Win Rate
Kind of a worse Patriot, KaZoo uses about the same strategy, but with more flexibility at the cost of fewer points. If you don’t enjoy Patriot, this has a similar gameplay with different cards. Otherwise, even though KaZoo is a strong deck in High Voltage, it seems like there is a better way to do the same thing.
Potential Additions
Magneto and Klaw are strong standalone cards you could replace with other tools.
Silver Surfer
Performance: 60% Win Rate
With Toxic Surfer posting better numbers and Good Cards using a lot of the same tools in a different shell, Silver Surfer is a more of a comfort pick than a strategic thought process at the moment. The deck is good enough to win, though, so if you like Silver Surfer don’t feel bad for playing it.
Potential Additions
Red Guardian, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and other such strong standalone 3-Costs make sense in the deck.
Tier 3
Good Cards Control
Performance: 59.5% Win Rate
Trying to react to your opponent in High Voltage isn’t a good idea. Black Panther and Arnim Zola are a great duo to add points to such strategies, but they would likely be even better in a deck that is able to produce points and grab priority. Things are too volatile in High Voltage for your Plan A to be a counter strategy.
Ongoing Tribunal
Performance: 59% Win Rate
Ongoing Tribunal is a good deck to surprise Patriot or Professor X players, but otherwise it tends to lose to the many Juggernauts and Magnetos that are designed to annoy these kinds of synergies.
Conclusion
Here’s what High Voltage looks like in the first days of this new occurrence of the fast-paced mode! As usual, you can find me on the Marvel Snap Zone community Discord to discuss the report, or shoot me a direct message (@den_ccg) for coaching or specific requests.
Good Game Everyone.
