Well, another bundle from the 3,500 Tokens For 3,000 Gold category has dropped. In previous articles I already mentioned that these bundles are a bit outdated and don’t hold the same interest as they used to, but let’s still dive deeper into this bundle’s value.
As we can see 0.85 Tokens for Gold give the bundle a Progress Value of 110%. Not the most impressive result, but if you don’t want to deal with Credits and need Tokens directly – it’ll do.
Comparison With Other Bundles
In terms of Progress Value the bundle sits around the average mark and is noticeably below it in the 12-month and 6-month comparisons.
In its price range the bundle is OK-ish, hovering around the average.
The same goes for Tokens per Gold – a rate of 0.86 doesn’t help the bundle compete with bundles offering Credits, which have a good Credit-to-Token conversion rate.
So the impression, unfortunately, is misleading – even though the bundle offers Tokens at a solid rate – it still loses on this key metric to many other bundles.
Use cases for the Onslaught variant
Onslaught is a powerful card that doubles Ongoing effects, but it hasn’t been that present in the meta for quite a while because other tempo-driven and tech-focused strategies dominate. Still, here are two deck examples that include Onslaught and have shown good results over the past few weeks.
Conclusion
Ultimately, I’d say this bundle is good on paper since this kind of bundle regularly lets you get 0.86 Tokens per Gold without converting through Credits.
But in practice even Booster Packs that drop every Saturday have better stats, as do many other bundles, including those with Series 5 cards.
So as long as these “3000 Tokens for 3500 Gold” bundles stick around in their current form, sadly I can’t give this kind of bundle more than 2 stars out of 5. This scheme hasn’t been updated in a couple of years and doesn’t really fit the current game economy.
So I wouldn’t seriously consider buying this bundle right now. Better save up for more worthwhile bundles or spend Gold on Booster Packs – either way it’ll be a great use of your Gold!
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Hand of Havoc bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
