The Hot Location for the next 24 hours is Hala: After turn 4, destroy all cards controlled by the player losing here. Hot Locations happen every week, starting Sunday at 3 AM GMT. The chosen location has a 60% increased chance of appearing during games. Players who strategically build around the location or counter the decks that do so can have an advantage over their opponents! So what do you play?

Strategy and General Tips
This effect always activates after you finish Turn 4. Most players avoid the location if they can’t be confident they are going to have the highest power level after Turn 4 as the alternative is losing your development. Optimizing for the location involves including some high power, above curve cards you can use to punish development into the location. As with all locations which activate after a stage in the game, location interaction cards are also an option.
Storm is the card I would recommend the most for this location. You can turn the location off, which your opponent may not have developed into. Follow along as we take you through starter decks for Series 1, 2 and 3.
Pool 1
This deck is well-placed for the location. Namor can be used as the best option on turn 4. You get to develop the location one turn earlier if your opponent is avoiding and if not you may be able to drop Namor for 10 power and delete the other side of the board.
The Series 1 ongoing package also has some excellent tools for going wide, which you can then use to buff Namor later if you do go down this path. Colossus and Armor can also work well with the location as they allow you to get into the location without the risk.
Pool 2
This deck looks to abuse the Storm interaction with the location to lock down a location. Then use Iron Man on another lane to win the game. As the deck is not as Ongoing heavy as the Series 1 deck, Iron Man is less likely to be anticipated, placing this deck in a good spot for cube gains potentially also.
Series 3+
This is a classic Lockation deck which has tools to get back into the location later if required. In addition, you get to control where your opponent can play which adds to the power of Leader. There is room to change this deck and test. Juggernaut and Polaris may be swapped for cards such as Iceman, Scorpion and Cosmo. Odin could be Leech…
We have all seen that story before though, so choose to feature a different plan. If we get Electro you can play it to later play Leader, Odin, or Doom combos. If you get the chance, you can drop Electro under their bigger Hala lane for profit. If you miss Electro, you can Storm, use Jessica Jones or Juggernaut to lock it down, then play Aero or Vision into Leader or Odin.
This deck looks to build on the Series 3 plan by going lower to the ground and using Shuri to double the power of Vision or Aero into Taskmaster. Leader helps us copy the exact challenge to your other lanes once you lock down the Storm lane.
Titania is a backup plan for post Storm and amazing on 5 with Shuri if you can play her safely. If your over playing Leader, swap in Zero as it has two great targets and can slot into lots of turns with this deck.
Final Christmas bonus, slightly more experimental take on Lockation for this one. This goes heavy on limiting where your opponent can play then looks to capitalize with Vision, Doctor Doom and Leader. Storm locks down one lane, Goose soft locks other lanes. Your plays can be moved around while hopefully your opponents plays will be stuck in one place, giving you flexibility your opponent won’t have.
Sandman is there as we are getting that awesome new Variant when this releases (and you may want to rock it!) but could also be Spider-Man (the other variant) or Jessica Jones.
