Another cheap, and importantly, decent bundle is now available for purchase! While we previously mostly received bundles with Collector’s Tokens, it seems the focus is shifting to Credits now. Let’s analyze what this deal turned out to be.
We immediately see a pleasing value at 121% and even a bonus border to boot. And this is for a very low price of 2,000 Gold, which even a free-to-play player can accumulate over a season.
Moreover, the Credits contained in the bundle have improved slightly over the past month due to the patch that doubled the number of Collector’s Tokens dropped from Spotlight Caches when rolling a 4-slot
All of this makes the bundle quite good at first glance.
Comparison With Other Bundles
If we take a closer look, this feeling is only reinforced – the bundle stands firmly above the average value for both gold bundles in general and within its price category.
Additionally, the third graph at the bottom is interesting, as it clearly shows that bundles costing 2,000 Gold have gradually increased in terms of Progress Value over the last 6 months. This partially confirms that the value of bundles has started to rise (although it’s still unclear if this is a good sign, considering the significant uncertainty surrounding upcoming changes to the card acquisition system).
The value of Credits per Gold here is also good. Among all the bundles containing Credits over the past year, only The One Who Knocks bundle had a higher value of Credits for Gold – 1.67 compared to 1.5 in the bundle being considered. So if you want Credits at a good price, this is the second-best deal in a long time!
As for the value of new Series 5 cards for 700 Gold for players with almost complete collections, it’s not that great, since most of the past bundles with Collector’s Tokens provided more direct value in terms of the number of cards.
However, the bundle still holds above the average value both in recent times and across the entire period of bundles within the Spotlight Caches system.
The Usefulness of the Variant in the Meta
She-Hulk is a Series 3 card, so new players can use the variant instead of the base version of the card in their decks. However, to get the most value out of She-Hulk, you’ll likely need at least one Series 5 card – High Evolutionary, which hasn’t been very popular lately and doesn’t have much power in the meta.
This way, a newcomer will have a solid deck ready, even if it isn’t top-tier, with the remaining cards from Series 2 and below, for climbing ranks to Infinite. I’m including such a deck as the first one below.
The other two decks are more modern, popular, but at the same time experimental builds currently using She-Hulk. They are better suited for veterans who might want to test a new variant in case of purchasing the bundle.
Conclusion
In the end, we have a mathematically good bundle with Credits for a low price which will be particularly interesting to those chasing Splits or who don’t have many cards from the upcoming Spotlight Caches, which means that Credits will significantly boost their progress towards new Spotlight keys.
Considering this and the fact that a Progress Value above 120% is a rarity nowadays, and bundles with Credits, especially costing just a couple thousand – even more so, I think it’s fair to give the bundle 4.5 stars in the current card acquisition system.
It’s possible that in the future the value of bundles will soar due to some changes in the card acquisition system, but for now, as it stands, this is a good deal worth considering.
