The closer we get to the release of Snap Packs, the worse the bundles become in terms of Progress Value (except for the recent Collector’s Bundle, which was a great gift for players with enough Gold). And it’s understandable – such a significant improvement in the economy can’t go hand in hand with bundles whose value is consistently above average.
The bundle we’re looking at today is unlikely to boast a high Progress Value, but nevertheless, there’s still something interesting in it.
With a relatively low price of 2,200 Gold, the Progress Value of the bundle is a modest 110%. However, it’s worth noting that after the upcoming Snap Packs update, Credits will become more valuable on their own, while maintaining their cost.
So, we need to dig deeper and understand the net benefit of the bundle in comparison to other offers, as the value of Tokens for Gold in this bundle is better than Tuesday Tokens, bundles with Tokens for 3,500 Gold, and known offers in the upcoming Token Packs shop.

Comparison With Other Bundles
When comparing the Divine Defender bundle to other bundles over the past year, we see that it’s slightly below average, and looking at the bundles from the last 3 months, this one is dropping to the bottom.
At the same time, in its price category, the bundle also shows quite poor results – on the last chart, it’s clear that starting from February, the Progress Value of bundles priced at 2,000-3,500 Gold has been falling repeatedly.
Despite the fact that the bundle itself doesn’t contain any Tokens, by using Credits and progressing along the CL track, you’ll earn quite a lot of Tokens, as after every 9 Collector’s Reserves, you’ll receive 3,000 Tokens. Additionally, you occasionally find 100 Tokens in Collector’s Reserves. So we can calculate how many Tokens this bundle will ultimately give you.
And the value of Tokens for Gold is peculiar – on one hand, the examined bundle ranks higher than many bundles both with Credits and exclusively with Tokens. However, the recently improved Booster Packs are simply superior to other bundles in this regard, and purchasing the Divine Defender bundle is only worth it if you have a large amount of Gold.
Regarding Credits per Gold, there’s a similar dilemma – Booster Packs are too good to ignore, while the Divine Defender bundle offers good but modest 1.36 Credits per Gold compared to the standard 1.25, the typical 1.4 in bundles with Credits, and Booster Packs’ impressive 1.67.
That said, if you have a lot of Gold and want to split cards a bit more favorably, Divine Defender could theoretically work for you, but for most players the bundle is too weird and isn’t worth it.
If it were at least 200 Gold cheaper, it’d be a totally different story, but as is, it’s a pretty weak option even despite the 0.9 Collector’s Tokens per Gold, since it’s not entirely clear which direction bundles will move in the upcoming economy or how good the priciest offers in the Token Paks Shop will be.
The Usefulness of the Variant in the Meta
Angela is a Series 1 card, so the variant is purely cosmetic and doesn’t add any extra value. Angela herself is fairly weak, and the only deck she really sees play in is Good Cards Control. So if you aren’t using that deck, the variant will most likely just sit unused in your collection.
Conclusion
Therefore, I can recommend this bundle for purchase only to those who:
- Already regularly buy Booster Packs.
- Have enough Gold for other bundles.
- Prioritize nice splits over value by card count and need Credits for that.
Otherwise, the bundle probably isn’t worth its Gold, and given the uncertainty, a value of 0.9 Tokens per Gold seems good, but it’s not clear how good it’ll be in a few weeks in the new economy and especially in the coming months, when new bundles start appearing for the new Snap Pack system.
