Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Day 2 of Firehair saw a hot location really mess with things such that I don’t have any major new thoughts after yesterday.

The card is still good, still not broken, and still set to improve with more releases. Its main pairing is Misery (and The Hood), and if you like that package and can fit it into decks the card performs very well. If that works for you (you NEED to own Misery), grab it. If not, well, it’ll keep having decks, but without Misery you couldn’t play them anyway.

One thing to note, though, is Firehair directly competes with three of the best cards in Snap: Iron Patriot, Sam Wilson, and, to a lesser extent, Hawkeye Kate Bishop. If the first two are nerfed at all (a possibility if not necessarily a likelihood), then the value of Firehair could spike.

Jeeeeet plays Phoenix Force. He’s the best with the core deck in the world, twice being second on the Infinite Leaderboard with it, but since Misery came out in October that’s not the only way he plays “peef.” Every week a new card comes out, and every week Jeeeeet figures out how to combine it with Misery and Phoenix Force. It doesn’t always work, and sometimes, like with Doctor Doom 2099, it’s a pure meme. But this week was Firehair, and Firehair makes sense as an On Reveal doubler with PF, so Jeeeeet cooked, going 13-2 with an 87% Win Rate before the hot location ruined the fun.

This list uses Demons and Iron Patriot cards to generate power. It’s got numerous ways to generate as many of those as possible, and if you get a handful of cheap, powerful cards, almost nothing can keep up. In order to generate these cards, you have Firehair, Phoenix Force, and Misery. It’s entirely possible to trigger all three, getting 5+ generated power cards that are then buffed by Victoria Hand.

The deck really relies on Misery for this though—it’s the only destroy outlet, so Jeeeeet packs a backup plan of just plain good stats. A single Demon has the power of a 4-Cost card (as does Sam Wilson), while Martyr and Hydra Bob generate the power of a 3-Coster. Add the disruption of Jean Grey and the control of Shang-Chi, and this is a recipe for big cube wins in unexpected ways.
