Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone every weekday with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it! If you want three more new decks today, check out this video!
For today’s deck, I’ll be showcasing our newest Marvel Snap card, Bullseye. I think I found the best day one home: a deck that loves his discard and his affliction! Every day I’ll give a brief explanation of the deck, replacements for the Series 4 and 5 cards, and a turn-by-turn breakdown. But before we get to the deck, let’s talk about Bullseye.

Okay, let’s start with this: I don’t think Bullseye will be good. A lot of people don’t. A lot of people also think this card is going to be insanely strong. There’s a case for him, for sure, but I’m not sold. The power seems to be in the fact that if you can get around four Swarms or a few other 1-Costs, this can play for a [3/9] or more. That part is going to be really difficult to evaluate this week. People are definitely going to try to do that, but that being known means that I expect a lot of Luke Cage, which will turn its ability off and leave you with nothing more than a [3/3]. That’s terrible, and that’s why I don’t have high hopes for this card. BUT…
Standard new card caveat time… I’m wrong about card evaluation sometimes. I thought Loki would be bad. Almost everyone did (except the wonderful SafetyBlade). Loki ended up being one of the best cards in the game. I, like everyone, was sold on the original War Machine being great—he ended up being atrocious. I’m not always wrong, though; I nailed Cannonball and Legion as great when people thought they were terrible, and I knew Fenris Wolf wouldn’t break the meta open for control… but there’s a lot of room between nailing a card perfectly and wasted resources.
Because of that, I don’t just review a card once. Resources are scarce in Marvel Snap, so I review it four times. This is the first. Today at around 6:30pm EST I’ll be playing the new card in this deck on stream. I’ll have a better impression after that. Then, in Thursday’s video, I’ll have 10 – 15 top players give their initial impressions of Bullseye. In Friday’s daily video I’ll have a weekend mission review… and then Monday—yes, here in this article series—I’ll have a Last Chance Review. We want to make sure you use your resources wisely, and we will make sure you absolutely have the tools to do so.
So, as of now, I think Bullseye is bad. At least outside of this deck. Stay tuned…
This deck was created by our friend Parry Manilow, a truly excellent Marvel Snap streamer and the host of the always-exciting Marvel Snap Bingo. He’s also a huge Discard aficionado, and this, his pet deck, is made WAY better by Bullseye.
This can win in the standard Discard way. Anyone who has played Discard knows how much power it can put up. Morbius gets big and Dracula gets absolutely huge. That gameplan is fine, but it hardly needs or even really wants Bullseye, right?
Let’s focus on the other cards, then. Ravonna Renslayer is secretly amazing in Discard. Morbius for one energy, Dracula for three, and… Arnim Zola for five? Wait, what’s Zola doing here!? Arnim Zola is here to give you an unbeatable lane. You can play it on Daken for three Muramasa Shards; discard one to make Daken a [3/8], two for a [3/16], and three for a [3/32]. You also have two Dakens, which makes two lane-winning monsters from a single Zola. He can also copy Dracula, which lets you discard Apocalypse twice, but I want to focus on Daken for now since this is the only deck he’s truly great in.
Once you get three Shards, you need a way to get rid of them. Previously, that just meant
