Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone every weekday with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. If you want three more new decks today, check out this video!
This month was my hardest Infinite Climb since the most recent change to the Ladder (which was well over a year ago). I’m not sure why, but both the mid 80s and high 90s were an absolute grind. That’s a warning for those of you who want to spend a LOT of time on the new Sanctum Showdown game mode. Get your Ladder grinding in now!
I was, however, still able to cross the Infinite threshold late on day two with… a very unlikely deck.

This deck, just like so many of our craziest builds, comes from Butt, a top Ladder player famous for creating off-meta decks. He finished Top 10 on the Infinite Leaderboard last season and has previously ranked #4. He’s also previously won two of our Snap Judgment Leagues. He’s one of the best ever to play the game and does it entirely with decks like this.
Yes, that is an unironic Kang.
On the YouTube channel linked above, I cover 3-4 new decks a day, 7 days a week. It takes a lot to surprise me, but this one—well, I saw it and had zero idea what to do with it. Let’s walk through the main concepts.
Galacta is insanely key here. She alone gives you the power to make this deck work through its three main play lines.
The Galactus line: This is what we’re here for, right? Galacta in one lane into an empty Symbiote Spider-Man to lead into Galactus is a 19 power lane. That becomes 21 if you had Agony to play Symbiote Spider-Man on, and even more with some Phastos luck. That’s really simple, right? Kang gives you information to ensure that your play goes off as often as possible.
The Silver Surfer line: Of course, sometimes Kang is going to show that the opponent just has too much power there… that’s fine. You still have the Silver Surfer line and the backup Black Panther line. If your opponent drops a ton of power in your Symbiote Spider-Man lane, you can use Galacta to buff a Brood or Sebastian Shaw in a different lane, then drop Silver Surfer onto the Symbiote Spider-Man and trigger it. Sudden double Surfer!
The Main Black Panther line: Here, you want to use Galacta or Symbiote Spider-Man to double a Turn 5 Black Panther. After this, use Kang to spy. If they can’t stop your Arnim Zola, do that to win. If they can, play Galactus or go with the Surfer line for a shocking huge cube win!
The Secondary Black Panther line: If you’re ahead anywhere, just drop Black Panther on their biggest lane. Panther with Symbiote Spider-Man, ideally with Galacta, is crazy power (we’re talking 40+ power). Lanes with that many points usually beat your opponent’s attempts to stop Galactus!
Card Replacements
- Needs: Symbiote Spider-Man, Galacta
- Agony -> Nebula, Araña
- Iron Patriot -> Copycat, Daredevil, Cable
- Phastos, Sebastian Shaw -> Hope Summers, Luna Snow
- Kang -> Legion, Vision; Gwenpool is good too, but then switch Agony for Zabu
- Galactus -> Juggernaut
Turn by Turn
- Turn 1: Agony (for Iron Patriot if you must; can be for Symbiote Spider-Man/Sebastian Shaw/Black Panther)
- Turn 2: Iron Patriot
- Turn 3: Phastos > 1-Cost or 2-Cost
- Turn 4: Galacta in lane with stuff > Symbiote Spider-Man alone
- Turn 5: Other 4-Cost or big Black Panther; Galacta to hit Brood/Sebastian Shaw is fine
- Turn 6: Kang -> Galactus, Silver Surfer (doubled with Symbiote Spider-Man) + another 3-drop, or Arnim Zola on Black Panther… or just a surprise Panther
That’s it for today, don’t forget to check today’s video atop the page for more great decks!
