Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone every weekday with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. I talked about Sizer yesterday, but if you missed it here’s the gist of it:
“Sizer was the #4 player four times in 2024 and has started 2025 in the exact same position. He’s been number one with numerous decks—most notably Lockdown and Darkhawk—and he has become known as the game’s best Move player. His number ones have been with either Move Bounce or the deck I’m showcasing today. When Move was nerfed, he was the exact person to go to in order to check its quality. But this isn’t really a Sizer deck, even if it was his idea. CHZ is a top 20 player and made his climb this season to the top of the meta with a Scream deck. The rumors of Scream‘s demise were greatly exaggerated… and Sizer probably made the deck even better by examining Sam Wilson Captain America.

Scream was, for a time, the winningest card in Marvel Snap. Glenn Jones, the lead designer of Marvel Snap, came on our podcast in September and told us that outright, stating that it had a Win Rate on play similar to that of Mister Negative. It was therefore no surprise to see it nerfed… and away from the card everyone ran.
But right now, Luke Cage isn’t really in the meta, and -1 power to one of the strongest cards isn’t much of a nerf. No, Luke Cage hasn’t been the card’s problem; in fact, the problem was actually Red Guardian, the most played high Infinite card. There’s very little way to protect Scream from being immediately taken out by a Turn 3 Red Guardian… or at least there wasn’t until now.

Decks with Sam Wilson Captain America
Sam Wilson Captain America puts a 1-drop into play at the start of the game. On Turn 2, that location is the perfect place to play Scream. If Cap's Shield gets hit with a Red Guardian? Oh well. Scream is very likely still going to win you the game!
And hey, it’s not like Cap's Shield and Sam Wilson are otherwise bad, right? Smacking around that shield can give you a [2/7] card, and it also pairs well with Kraven since moving the Shield onto that card can give you another [2/7] (or bigger) card! Those are some of the biggest 2-drops in the game working in concert with scalers like Galacta and Gwenpool. I’m very excited for this, both because it’s strong and because it should absolutely farm other players trying out the new Season Pass Card!

- Sam Wilson -> Jeff or Nightcrawler
Turn by Turn
- Turn 1: Hydra Bob
- Turn 2: Scream > Kraven / Sam Wilson
- Turn 3: Hope > 2-Cost > Polaris
- Turn 4: Galacta > Gwenpool > 2-Cost + 2-Cost / 1-Cost + 3-Cost
- Turn 5: Same as before (seven energy on Turn 6 is huuuuge)
- Turn 6: Juggernaut, any unplayed 2-drop, Miles Morales, and/or Hydra Bob
