Neither Agamotto nor Starbrand is particularly great at the moment, although both are posting above average performances following the OTA. As the more flexible of the two, Agamotto naturally has more decks that he fits in, which should ease the burden of completing his associated missions. As for Starbrand, the card found a home in Shuri Sauron and Sera Control, which is more than enough to knock out four wins.
Overall, both have their place in the current meta, even if neither is really impacting it.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 2-Cost Cards | 15 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Starbrand starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Agamotto starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Starbrand Performance

Looking at the numbers, Starbrand is a bit of an anomaly. Indeed, the On Play Win Rate is much better than the On Draw Win Rate, which indicates that it is a good idea to get Starbrand on the board. However, the Cube Rate follows the opposite trend, dropping considerably when Starbrand is played rather than drawn.
This one is hard to explain to be honest. The reason Starbrand lowers a deck’s Cube Rate might be because it is being countered (there is quite a lot of Shang-Chi around), or because its Ongoing ability has a ton of weight in a match.
No matter what, both the Win Rate and the Cube Rate are decent at the very least, and this means Starbrand is a fine card… at the moment. The stats from Untapped seem to point in the same direction as well.

Agamotto Performance

Agamotto isn’t doing too bad at the moment, but it’s suffering from a comparison to the previous Season Pass cards, all of which were dominant during their time. Just like Starbrand, Agamotto has this weird impact on a deck where it increases its Win Rate but lowers the amount of cubes won significantly when played.
The card exists in a variety of decks and has managed to post decent numbers across the board, which shows that Agamotto has its own spot among the game’s top performing cards. However, it seems like Agamotto is simply just “good enough” to be included, whereas Galacta, Iron Patriot, and Sam Wilson raised their decks to new heights.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Neither Starbrand nor Agamotto is doing particularly well at the moment, due to neither being a strong standalone card that is able to dictate the meta. As such, I could only find one deck with both cards sharing the spotlight. It’s a mix of a Control deck with some negative Ongoing abilities to provide the deck with some points.
Gorgon and Iron Patriot serve as the flexible spots, the former to annoy Arishem and the latter because it synergizes very well with Starbrand, Ebony Maw, and Lizard.
If you want to focus on Starbrand, the card exists in both decks that were merged to create the one above: Sera Control and Shuri Sauron. It is very possible that Agamotto could also be slotted in one of those, but they both represent the best performing archetypes for Starbrand since the OTA.
Agamotto is more flexible than Starbrand, which means you can use it in a variety of archetypes. I have not found the Season Pass card to be crucial in any of these decks, though, but it also hasn’t ever impaired a deck to the point that I wanted to remove it. It’s most often a fine addition, but definitely not mandatory.
