The OTA didn’t impact this week’s cards at all. Some might have hoped for a nerf to Fin Fang Foom, as the 7-cost is starting to be very popular due to Stryfe allowing to ignore its cost. Yet, Second Dinner focused on the End of Turn 2099 archetype instead, so I guess the solution is to run Cosmo in all our decks at the moment. Goose now preventing all 4+ cost cards to be played on its location could also be a good one to consider.
The space doggo will also be helpful if you run into Destroy decks trying to complete the Archangel Horseman of Death missions. However, looking at the card’s performance so far, you probably don’t need to run specific counter cards to take care of that one.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| TBA | 10 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Stryfe starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Archangel Horseman of Death starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Stryfe Performance

Deadpool Dinner messes the Cube Rate.

Overall, the season pass card is putting on a clinic. The play rate is very high, the win rate is good, and the cube average shows a net positive. In the higher ranks, Stryfe struggles to be a dominant card, likely due to Cosmo being in many more lists, on top of more experienced players able to recognize a Stryfe deck and retreat appropriately.
This is the typical pattern of strong, yet not oppressive cards. They will dominate if left unchecked, as their ability can take over a match. However, once educated on their popular builds, one can limit the damage, or build to counter it.

Archangel Horseman of Death

Deadpool Dinner messes the Cube Rate.

Last week’s release got buffed in the OTA, as Wolverine Horseman of War was performing poorly overall. The latest release, Archangel Horseman of Death is already hoping for the same treatment as the card is catastrophic on every level.
For the missions, simply include the new 2-cost in a Destroy deck. Once 150 gold richer, put back the card you swapped out.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Archangel Horseman of Death can be played in two decks, and probably makes both worse with its presence. In the context of winning 4 games, Destroy will be up to the task, whether you decide to build around Deadpool or Dormammu. Simply know the best lists of either archetype is not using Archangel Horseman of Death:
The season pass card will obviously push your deck to focus on the On Reveal synergy. Yet, Stryfe is good enough to be considered outside decks filled with On Reveal abilities. Adding the likes of Merlin or Hawkeye Kate Bishop can be enough for a flexible archetype with 3 or 4 On Reveal cards already.
The 4-cost primary use is to copy Fin Fang Foom’s ability, but Arnim Zola or Aurora are other great targets.
