Second Dinner admitted “A lot of Sanctum Showdown matches the SNAP you already know,” so why the hell do we need a strategy guide? Let’s just play the usual decks we already mastered and collect some new cards!
I wish it was that simple, but it really isn’t. Indeed, the points system in Sanctum Showdown means there is no clear final turn for each game; you keep going until a player reaches 16 points. This means a match could end before the usual Turn 6, or last for a lot more if both players trade the Sanctum points each turn. There is a limit of 15 turns, but I doubt that’ll happen very often.
In case you would be unsure about the rules and all the rewards for this mode, check them out here. If we are clear with how to play, let’s discuss the decks we should be bringing to Sanctum Showdown!

Decks for Sanctum Showdown
Series 3 Sanctum Showdown Deck
No Series 3 have happened for a while, so new players don’t have much choice if they want to perform in Sanctum Showdown. The two options are either a Kazoo deck, designed to quickly develop points on the board, or a Move build, slower but with a higher ceiling.
I hope this guide was helpful. Feel free to share your own strategy to tackle Sanctum Showdown in the comments. You can find everyone on the Marvel Snap Zone team in our community Discord to have a chat or ask any questions.
