Boomerang has been out for a few days while we also had an OTA yesterday. Let’s find out how the new card is performing and how the metagame has evolved so far!
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|

| Win with Boomerang starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Spider-Man Brand New Day starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Spider-Man Brand New Day Performance

The season pass card has been losing momentum this week, especially following the OTA. The popularity remains among the highest in the game, but the performance isn’t as good as the first two weeks.
Either Mercury has become a very common inclusion, hurting the Move synergy as a whole, or synergistic decks able to beat it on points are making the most of the usual post balance update environment.
Overall, Spider-Man Brand New Day remains a very good 1-cost. However, it isn’t strong enough to carry its deck, just serve as a solid addition. Therefor, the card will only go as far as its deck potential.

Boomerang Performance

It has been a brutal start for Boomerang, no matter where we look. Indeed, before or after the OTA, at all ranks or Infinite only, everything about the new card screams “struggle”.
The Bounce archetype, the default home for Boomerang, can look competitive over a small sample of matches. However, once we look at the archetype’s performance over hundreds of games, Bounce looks like a Tier 3 competitor at most.
Unless Boomerang finds another home, or Bounce gets some more support, it is likely the situation won’t improve much.

Post-OTA Bonus Challenge Decks
There are more than one way to play Bounce but all the best performing decks are built around the Hit-Monkey & Sasquatch duo. If you didn’t have those or were hoping for a different play style, I also included a disruptive way to play Bounce, mixed with the Mill concept.
As for decks packing Spider-Man Brand New Day, they are pretty much the same following the OTA. Plus, the season pass 1-cost still represents a fine standalone card for those who don’t enjoy playing the Move synergy.
