Today we’ve got, unfortunately, another boring bundle from the same old 3,500 Tokens for 3,000 Gold scheme. We haven’t had one like this in a while, and here we go again.
Let’s see if the bundle can boast anything good or if you should definitely skip it.
As you can see from the bundle page – the bundle only offers 0.86 Tokens per Gold, which is below the recommended threshold of 0.9 Tokens per Gold at which a bundle is considered for purchase.
The bundle also includes a variant for Ravonna Renslayer, but since she was released 2.5 years ago, it’s unlikely she’ll be of interest to anyone as a Series 4 card. We’ll talk about that a bit later.
Comparison With Other Bundles
As you can see on the comparison chart – among bundles over the last year and the last 6 months it’s noticeably below the average of 113% Progress Value, not to mention the higher values that good bundles have.
When you compare this bundle to others in its price tier (3,000 – 4,000 Gold), it surprisingly turns out to be a pretty solid option, sitting above average on the chart.
To a large extent, this is because Second Dinner has become quite rare at making cheap bundles in general, shifting the focus to pricier options. Nevertheless, if you’ve only got around 3,000 Gold, it’s an option worth considering.
Now we come to the key metric that shows a bundle’s true worth.
As the charts make clear, the Tokens per Gold figure for this bundle is, if not terrible, at least very poor. With a maximum of 1.05 (without Booster Packs), a minimum of 0.8 and an average of 0.9, the bundle’s 0.86 Tokens per Gold looks noticeably weak.
Moreover, this is the bundle’s final value – in terms of currency you won’t get anything besides Tokens here, unlike Credits, which provide both Tokens and new splits, as well as avatars and titles on the CL track.
What if you don’t have Ravonna Renslayer?
As I mentioned earlier – some players have a chance to get Ravonna Renslayer for free with the bundle as a Series 4 card.
But because Ravonna was released so long ago, her value is questionable. First, over the past 2.5 years almost everyone who could have gotten her likely already did, and second, a series drop will eventually happen and, in my view, Ravonna will be one of the first candidates for Series 3 due to her moderate power and age as a card.
Nevertheless, if you consider that buying the bundle gives you a Series 4 card for free, the mathematical value of the bundle naturally rises to a level with no competitors among regular bundles.
Use cases for the Ravonna Renslayer variant
As for Ravonna Renslayer’s use cases, she’s almost always represented in the meta as part of top decks.
She’s a mandatory pick in Mr. Negative decks and also a strong card in ongoing decks and the Spider‑Man combo deck.
So if you liked her variant or are thinking about getting a bundle just for the card – Ravonna is unlikely to let you down and will probably appear in at least one of your decks.
Conclusion
So the Time Huntress bundle has only a couple of theoretical upsides: it isn’t that bad when compared by Progress Value to other bundles priced around 3,000 Gold, and having Ravonna Renslayer in the bundle as a good Series 4 card might be useful to someone.
But on the other hand we get less universal Tokens compared to Credits, an extremely low Tokens per Gold value, and easy alternatives like buying Credits from the shop at any time (0.82 Tokens per Gold, slightly lower) or buying Booster Packs on Mondays (1.10 Tokens per Gold, much higher).
So the Time Huntress bundle in its current form and at this time unfortunately can’t get more than 2 stars out of 5. It should only be considered by players who need Ravonna Renslayer here and now. Otherwise it’s better to spend Gold on another bundle.
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Time Huntress bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
