Surprisingly, they actually did it – releasing two identical Gold bundles back-to-back, with the only difference being which card variant they contain. Well, the conclusion will be the same, but first things first.
The main numbers for the bundle are still modest. A Progress Value of 107% is a bit weak, and the Total Tokens value per Gold is 0.88. While it’s close to the benchmark of 0.9, it doesn’t really meet modern standards for good bundles.
However, the Credits and their amount might interest some. 1.33 Credits per Gold is a pleasant indicator, but it’s still too close to the default 1.25 to make the bundle a must-buy.
Comparison With Other Bundles
On the progress chart, the bundle looks simply awful, almost at the very bottom, on par with its unlucky sibling – Great Responsibility.
In the same price range of around 3,000 Gold, the bundle also performs weakly. It’s definitely not the best in recent months.
The most accurate metric for evaluating bundles – Total Tokens per Gold shows that the bundle isn’t as weak as it might appear in previous charts. However, it’s still below average, which is a shame.
As I said before – 1.33 Credits per Gold is already more than in the shop. However, weekly Booster Packs, with their value of 1.67, simply destroy this bundle. You should only consider its Credits value if you genuinely have a lot of Gold, can comfortably afford to spend around 2,000 Gold per season on Booster Packs, and still have plenty in reserve.
Use cases for the Wave variant
Well, Wave is a Series 3 card, so unlike the Great Responsibility bundle released a week ago, you won’t get any additional value. So, all I can offer you are a few decks where you could use the Wave variant, if you do end up buying the bundle.
These aren’t the strongest decks in the current meta, but they’re still around Tier B.
Conclusion
Thus, we have a rather weak bundle, without a high-Series card, for the amount of Gold you get for a full season.
I’d say it isn’t worth it, and it’s better to just buy booster packs this season if you want to use your Gold efficiently. You should only get the bundle either for the variant, or for the slightly higher Credits per Gold value, but only if for some reason you have so much Gold that even this would prompt you to buy it.
In conclusion – a 2/5 bundle, I don’t recommend it to most players.
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Wave Check bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
