In this week’s Marvel Snap Spotlight Cache rotation, Bullseye finally makes its debut as Series 5 card, Caiera making its second appearance since May 2024, and Marvel Boy making its first return.
Bullseye

Bullseye is our newest Spotlight card with a 3-Cost, 3-Power stat line and the ability “Activate: Discard all cards that cost 1 or less from your hand. Afflict that many different enemy cards with -2 Power.” This makes for the second discard ability with the Activate keyword.
This card is very specific in usage. Swarm + Apocalypse discard is the only meta viable Discard deck, so Bullseye has a natural home to gravitate to. The Activate portion of the card lets you set him up early to maximize late game value. Outside of the typical Discard decks, he also works with more niche cards like Wolverine and X-23.
Possible Meta Deck
This is a take on the classic Discard deck, but it uses Victoria Hand to give your Swarms extra value. Since Bullseye is an Activate card, you can wait until Turn 5 to use him, which allows you to set up your hand for
Your core cards here are the standard discard set. Your main replaceable cards are Victoria Hand, Colleen Wing, and The Collector. Some good alternate cards are Moon Knight, Grand Master, and Scorn.
Low Collection Level Decks
This is typically where I would recommend a low-CL deck so new players can utilize the new card. Unfortunately, at a low CL you have no real Discard tools, so you can’t make a viable deck. Bullseye would rarely get value, so recommending a deck wouldn’t be worth it. If you’re a new player, you should skip this card until you have more of the Series 3 Discard cards.
Fun Bullseye Deck
This Hand Mill deck aims to be extremely annoying by ruining your opponent’s hand. Discard their cards and give yourself value through Swarm and Stature. Bullseye‘s purpose here is to give you more Swarms as a finisher, and to empty your hand of unnecessary cards and Wolverine.
Bullseye Prediction
Bullseye is very basic, but that’s not a bad thing. Discard is already in a good place, so more tools doesn’t hurt. The card is essentially a baby
Simply put, I think he will be good with Swarm Discard… and that’s about it. He will enhance the archetype, but he won’t be required to play the deck. It’s an easy buy if you love that deck style and an equally easy pass if you don’t.
Caiera
Caiera is a tech card that primarily sees play in Zoo decks (and occasionally in Lockjaw style decks). She is very rarely played in the current meta, but she can still prove useful to tech against Destroy decks and other Killmonger decks.
This High Evolutionary deck is a good example of how to use Caiera. She can protect your Sunspot, Misty Knight, Nebula, and even the Ice Cube you get from Luna Snow. Not only that, Caiera can protect your She-Hulk if you play her early, or your Hulk from Bruce Banner. If you happen to have priority going into the last turn, she can even protect The Infinaut or Evolved Hulk.
The core cards of this deck are Sunspot, She-Hulk, and the High Evo collection. You can substitute out Luna Snow, Nebula, Magik, and Bruce Banner. The deck is low on tech options, so you can swap in cards like Red Guardian or Shang-Chi if you want versatility.
Overall, Caiera isn’t a must have card. She can be very useful in heavy Destroy or Silver Surfer metas, but she doesn’t add anything to improve your deck. She simply helps ensure you aren’t easily countered. If you have extra resources, she’s worth owning. If, however, your resources are sparse, you can safely skip her and not miss out on much.
Marvel Boy

Marvel Boy is currently a bit of a sleeper card. He disappeared when Killmonger and Shadow King were being played frequently, but those tech cards are much less common now. He really only works in Zoo decks and the occasional off-meta Thanos list. If you high roll some 1-Cost cards and draw Marvel Boy by Turn 3, he can generate an incredible amount of value!
This KaZoo deck also features Caiera to protect your 1-Cost cards. The deck idea is very simple: play your 1-Cost cards directly, or create them with Shanna,
The core of this deck is Marvel Boy, Ka-Zar, and Blue Marvel. Any 1-Cost card can be replaced or used, but token generators will make you more consistent. You don’t have to use Caiera, but she does protect your deck from Killmonger. An alternate finisher for the deck is Onslaught and Ultron, which allows you to flood the board with Drones and pump up your Ongoing cards.
Marvel Boy isn’t a top tier card, but he is still viable. His biggest weakness—aside from tech cards—is his draw consistency. Drawing him after Turn 3 usually means he doesn’t get played because you would rather play Ka-Zar and Blue Marvel. Playing him later also means he generates less value, so he will sometimes just sit in your hand as a dead card. With that said, Zoo decks are still finding success with him, so he’s worth using if you enjoy that style. He isn’t mandatory at all, though, so only pull for him if you’ve got some spare Keys or Tokens laying around.
Spotlight Variants
If you already own the cards the Spotlight Caches offer, one of the variants below will take its place! If you own none of the cards, the variants will appear after you open all four caches. Spotlight Variants are time exclusive to their release week and will only become available to your Daily Offer rotation of the Shop after one full year has passed, costing 2,400 Gold.
If any of these Spotlight Variants feel like a must have for you, make sure to Cache-In if you have enough caches saved to guarantee the pull!
Should I Cache In?
My recommendation this week is to Hoard Your Caches. There just isn’t much value here for the meta competitive player. This is a fun week for off-meta fans, but these cards aren’t versatile or archetype defining. They’re all safe skips, which lets you stock up on Spotlight Keys for a better week.
