Sorcerer’s Purr-entice Bundle Guide – Details and Analysis

Buyer's guide to the Sorcerer's Purr-entice Marvel Snap Bundle with details and analysis. How good is it in comparison to other bundles?

Just a couple of days ago, the unmatched Don’t Stop the Healing bundle ended, and here we are with a new decent reason to spend Gold! Let’s take a look at what this bundle is really worth.

4,500 Credits for 3,000 Gold provide a 120% Progress Value and can be of great interest to those chasing new splits or sitting on a mountain of Collector’s Tokens. For those who have purchased most of the necessary cards with Tokens, this bundle should also be particularly appealing.

It’s also worth noting that lately we’ve been seeing more bundles with good Credits per Gold Value and fewer bundles with a great Tokens to Gold ratio, even though just six months ago the situation was the opposite and it was hard to get any additional value in the form of Credits. So, everyone who’s been waiting – jump in!

Comparison With Other Bundles

Among other bundles for Gold, Sorcerer’s Purr-entice has quite a bit of competition, as shown in the first graph. However, despite this, it still holds up well and confidently remains above the average Progress Value.

But among its category, both with a 25% price range increase and at the exact value of 3,000 Gold, it simply has no equal! No bundle since the introduction of Spotlight Caches has been as profitable for such a price. And the last chart clearly demonstrates a significant increase in the value of bundles, which we’ve discussed in previous analyses.

The value of Credits per Gold at 1.67 compared to the standard value of 1.25 gives the bundle a significant advantage when compared to other bundles with Credits. Such a high ratio places the bundle in second place alongside the Girl Boss Era bundle, just behind the first place of The One Who Knocks bundle.

But this is only when looking at the bundles from the last 6 and 12 months. If we expand the search to all bundles since the introduction of Spotlight Caches, Sorcerer’s Purr-entice falls short compared to several bundles from the previous era of good bundles, which was over a year ago. However, even there, it remains above average and outperforms some bundles that only have Credits (like Take Flight, Soar On, or Cannonball Run).

The outgoing era of bad bundles significantly impacts the evaluation of the considered bundle against others, which is especially evident in the graphs below.

Judging by the number of new cards for every 700 Gold for players with nearly complete collections, the bundle shows very good results and remains ahead of most bundles for the past year, far above the average value.

However, if we shorten the period to 6 months, we’ll see that the bundle, while above the average value, is much closer to it than in the first graph. This indicates that new bundles are closer in value to each other, making it less meaningful to save up and worthwhile to spend on what you really like and what fits your current needs.

So what about the value of New cards for Gold? It’s pretty good, and if there are many desired cards in the upcoming Spotlight Caches, it becomes even greater!

The Usefulness of the Variant in the Meta

Although Doctor Strange isn’t a meta-defining card by himself, he fits well in any decks somewhat related to the move mechanic. You can often find him in Bounce Move and Phoenix Force decks.

As for newcomers, since Doctor Strange is a Series 1 card, the variant value is mainly cosmetic and nothing more. However, below is a deck where the new variant for Doctor Strange might get a chance to shine among Series 2 decks.

Conclusion

Thus, we have a very solid bundle aimed at those who love to split and open Spotlight Caches.

With a reserve of at least 5,000 Gold, this is almost a must-have choice due to the amount of resources and splits you’ll get from spending that number of Credits. If your Gold is significantly lower or you prefer Collector’s Tokens, the bundle is still very good, but not as phenomenal as the Don’t Stop the Healing bundle, for example.

So due to the high values and good comparisons against other bundles (for now), I give it 4.5 stars, leaning a bit closer to 4 than to 5.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Sorcerer’s Purr-entice bundle page! Below is a detailed guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
