As forecasted previously, the Marvel Snap patch update is set to happen on April 30, 2024. However, this time Second Dinner has given players a preview of what to expect leading up to its release on the official Marvel Snap Discord.
Hey folks! As we’re getting prepped for our patch tomorrow, wanted to remind everyone about a couple things:
- Due to the schedule changes this month, we did a balance patch last week… as a result, this patch will NOT include any balance changes. After this week, we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled balance cadence.
- We didn’t include any notes about our upcoming new feature playtest for Leagues. This will be tested in select EU regions in the next week or so. We definitely want your feedback, so stay tuned for more information on that.
Tomorrow’s patch notes may look a bit lighter than usual, but it’s laying the groundwork for a lot of exciting stuff. We’re looking forward to sharing more about what all the team has been working on soon!

So in summary:
- No card balance changes as it already happened on April 25, 2024.
- Leagues will be tested in select EU regions.
- The Custom Card feature that lets you use splits from another variant of the same card that didn’t make it in the previous patch, may make its way this time.
- The groundwork could involve some interesting datamining!
What are Leagues?
Leagues have been previewed in this month’s Thunderbolts Season Developer Update and the Developer Roadmap:
On Snap, we aim to keep the game fresh every week, so in 2024, we’re introducing in-game events. Over the year, we will gradually add new and varying types of events. The first one looks like it’ll be something we’ve tentatively titled ‘Leagues.’ When a League Event is active, you will be matched up against a small number of other players near your skill and collection level. During the event, you will compete to see who can earn the most cubes to earn awesome rewards. Do you have what it takes to win your League?
We hope this is the first of many different types of events we’ll introduce over time. During and after each event we will take in your feedback and make adjustments for new events and iterations of existing events. Make sure to share your feedback with us on Discord and fill out our posted surveys!
