The Hot Location for the next 24 hours is Mojoworld: Whoever has more cards here gets +100 Power. This is a Hot Location for Marvel Snap’s June 2023 season, Spider-Versus that starts on selected Wednesdays and Sundays at 3 AM GMT. For 24 hours, it has a 50% chance of showing up in games. Players who strategically build around the location or counter the decks that do so can have an advantage over their opponents! Let’s find out what the best strategies, cards, and decks are for the new meta and season!
Strategy and General Tips
Mojoworld can easily be won if you have more cards in the location, so decks that can quickly add four cards to the location have an inherent advantage. We do, however, want to fill the location with cards that cannot be easily countered. You have a further advantage if your deck can do this without using 1-drops or cards with more than nine power. 1-drops can be countered with Killmonger or Elektra, and cards with more than nine power walk straight into Shang-Chi. This would likely leave your opponent ahead on the location as they will have more cards.
This is a balancing act which can be achieved by many styles of decks that you need to consider while this location is active. Patriot, for example, can achieve this either by filling the location with the non 1-Cost cards such as Brood, or waiting to drop Ultron on the last turn to surprise fill Mojoworld. Brood can also slot into Silver Surfer decks. Both of these approaches allow you to buff the cards for additional power if you need to add more to the lane later on.
Counter play for Mojoworld is more varied than it seems on the surface, and a card such as Daredevil can have extra value during this location to set up key counters on Turn 5. For example, Professor X with more cards than your opponent wins the lane. Playing Wave while ahead can also secure the lane.
Deck Features
Mojoworld incentivizes filling the location, and one card that does this well is Brood. This one card forces your opponent to fill Mojoworld if they want to contest it. We can combine this with the Move package for a unique synergy. Moving Dagger in and out of Mojoworld should result in several buffs. And since we have the Silver Surfer package, we also get to run Killmonger, so anyone who leaves their 1-drops unprotected on Mojoworld can be punished consistently.
Patriot has plenty of cards that fill locations, and this means your opponent has to fill the location to win. Even after filling the location we can still use the buff cards. This is the perfect combination: a way to win the Hot Location with a clear plan to win others. Additionally, this version gets to drop the 1-Cost cards late (and often from behind), avoiding Killmonger entirely. This makes the strategy harder to counter.
Lockdown has a unique advantage with Mojoworld. The archetype can lock the lane from ahead in order to win it without committing a bunch of cards. On top of that, the new High Evolutionary build packs Hulk to win another lane easily. The High Evolutionary build also has Wasp, which is a great way to ensure you have one extra card over your opponent on Mojoworld.
Series 2 and below (pre-CL 474)
This is a basic Professor X deck. It leans into the lockdown Mojoworld synergy where we get ahead, lock the lane, and then go for the win on a different lane with Devil Dinosaur.
What is Mojoworld?
Mojoworld is a realm where reality itself is shaped by the insatiable appetite for entertainment (mmm). Here, massive television screens dominate the landscape, broadcasting bizarre and over-the-top shows that captivate the denizens of Mojoworld. From high-stakes game shows to action-packed dramas, these larger-than-life spectacles blur the line between reality and fiction, taking the concept of “reality TV” to mind-bending extremes.
