The previous OTA reshuffled the cards in terms of powerful synergies, opening for a new metagame to be solved to kick off the new season. Already, some high power decks, powered by
Unfortunately, most of the other changes won’t impact the metagame at all. Starhawk, Kraglin and such cards need a lot more than one extra power to be considered viable options in decks with only 12 slots available.
As a result, many will look at this OTA and dismiss it as a non-factor, and they are probably right. Yet, even if I would have liked to see a few buffs grant +2 power, or several buffs helping a specific archetypes, this was the right time for such an OTA. The metagame isn’t solved yet, so we didn’t need a balance update. Sometimes, helping the weaker cards is a step towards more diversity, or at least flexibility for those without every card in the game.
As such, Second Dinner just decided to drop all the buffs they had in store to underperforming cards. Hopefully, this means we can focus on more exciting changes in the future.
Buffs

Now a [4/7]
The new season has been focused on raw power with

Now a [4/6]
The notes mention this is a way to help Black Bolt and Stature. However, that archetype is so far from being competitive, I expect Silver Samurai to be tested in other synergies instead.

Now a [2/3]
Still far from enough for Starhawk to make it into any buff related deck.

Now a [3/4]
The 3-cost pool is way to competitive for Kraglin to make it as a [3/4]. We have enough high power cards to match a [3/8], and enough ways to gain energy. Until Kraglin becomes better than a Luna Snow or a Wilson Fisk, the card won’t see play.

Now a [4/5]
The destroy synergy is struggling to be competitive, while this card has never been anywhere good. One power won’t change either situation unfortunately.

Now a [4/5]
This card has never been played because of its own power, but for its ability. One power doesn’t mitigate how difficult it is to get the reward compared to other 4-cost cards in Marvel Snap.

Now a [3/5]
This is an interresting one as creating cards is quite good at the moment, while Guardians of the Galaxy cards are decent on average.

Now a [3/5]
I think I like Major Victory a little more than Agent Coulson at the moment. Mostly because the pool of cards is smaller and many or cheaper to play.
