Shou-Lao the Undying keeps showing off as more builds emerge around its powerful ability. Obviously, they all look to play multiple cards per turn, so will be similar in essence. Yet, there are so many cards which help to buff Shou-Lao the Undying, or benefit from its buff, that multiple archetypes can coexist, even if they all gravitate around the same card.
Lin Lie Iron Fist is different as there is only one archetype posting good results with the new 2-cost at the moment, an Aurora deck paired with the Rocks synergy. Move also tried to fit Lin Lie Iron Fist in the mix, but the results have been dramatic so far, so it is safe to say the new card won’t make in that synergy.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 2-Cost Cards | 15 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Lin Lie Iron Fist starting in your Deck | 4 | 300 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Shou-Lao the Undying starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Lin Lie Iron Fist

There aren’t many games to look at since the OTA, but even if we considered the entire week, Lin Lie Iron Fist is struggling on all counts.
The total power when the 2-cost and its sword are reunited is good, but the move synergy is capable of so much more, Lin Lie Iron Fist will likely disappear after this weekend’s missions.

Shou Lao Performance

“Best Card in Marvel Snap” might be a fair nickname for Shou-Lao the Undying, who is single-handedly making the 5-cost pool much stronger.
Last week, the season pass card was already posting fantastic numbers, and those improved with more time. Merlin becoming a [2/2] yesterday is nothing compared to the addition of Shou-Lao the Undying.
It is a paid card, so a quick nerf is unlikely. Yet, I’m certain that narrative will be in community talks pretty soon.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Shou-Lao the Undying could be considered a strong 5-cost in any deck with room for Merlin or another way to generate cards. Mill, Bounce, and such archetypes never running out of cards are perfect landing spots.
However, three builds are posting the best results since the OTA. Two we already knew about last week. Good On Reveal Cards, which simply threw the new season pass in the best shell from last season. And the Activate synergy, using the 5-cost to power up Scarlet Spider.
Joining them is a flexible build, build around playing 1-cost cards every turn and synergizing with Angela, Bishop, Sasquatch or Lockheed in the process.
Just pick based on your preference, all three are great at the moment.
Lin Lie Iron Fist presents a simpler equation, since only one deck is posting strong results following the OTA: Good Cards Rocks.
Most likely, the card is decent enough to be throw in a Flexible Move or Arishem. There will be better options, but those archetypes are strong enough to carry the disappointing 2-cost.
