Today we’ve got a pretty interesting bundle. For its price, unlike past 3500 Gold bundles it offers a bit more and even includes a variant for a Series 4 card. Let’s dive into the details to see if it’s worth it.
It’s immediately clear the bundle is aimed at players wanting more new splits. A solid 1.43 Credits per Gold isn’t seen that often, but it still doesn’t beat Booster Packs in value (of course).
Other numbers are decent too. The Total Tokens per Gold value is 0.94, and at the low price of 3,500 Gold (equivalent to 1-1.5 months of Gold hoarding) is also pretty solid.
Comparison With Other Bundles
Judging by Progress Value – the bundle performs close to average, but looking at bundles from the last 6 months – it’s unpleasantly below average.
In its price tier the bundle pulls ahead and beats many bundles, especially over the last 6 months – it’s unmatched there, and only Sorcerer’s Purr-entice has a better result.
The bundle’s Total Tokens per Gold are very good and let it rank above many bundles, showing above-average results across various time comparison categories.
By Credits per Gold the bundle loses badly to the excellent Booster Packs at the top of the rankings. But remove them from the equation – it places the bundle among the best. Even upcoming bundles priced at 5,000 Gold with 7,000 Credits won’t compare to this one.
What if you don’t have Skaar?
Yeah, it’s the same as usual.
Since the bundle includes Skaar variant, if you don’t have him it gives you a free Series 4 card, which pushes this bundle ahead of pretty much every other bundle, no questions. So if you don’t have Skaar – it’s a must-have. For where you can use Skaar, see the next section.
Use cases for the Skaar variant
As for potential use cases for Skaar, Surtur decks that naturally include the card are of course the top choice. And although this deck isn’t as popular as it used to be, its win rate is still high.
Another option for using Skaar is Hela decks, which recently got a small buff thanks to the release of Red Shift. So as a second deck I suggest the Agatha Hela deck, which showed up very recently and has pretty decent numbers.
Conclusion
So the bundle isn’t top-tier in its basic form, but it mostly posts above-average results, only trailing the more expensive top-tier bundles and Booster Packs. So as a way to quickly get a lot of Credits – I can recommend it. If you have patience – it’s better to buy Booster Packs each week, they’ll give you more value in the long run.
And if you don’t have Skaar and you’re eyeing the bundle – go ahead and pick it up! It’s good value and combined with a strong Series 4 card it’ll be an excellent investment of your Gold.
In the end – considering the bundle’s position relative to others I rate it 3.5 stars.
|If we stop seeing bundles with Progress Value above 120% in the future, then you could say this bundle in retrospect deserves 4 stars, but it’s hard to tell now. Right now, given the past – 3.5 stars.
