Another relatively cheap bundle for Gold has become available for purchase in Marvel Snap. This time, instead of Collector’s Tokens, it contains Credits, and the Series 4 card variant has been replaced with… a Groot variant. Let’s take a closer look.
Guide
At a price of 2,400 Gold, it gives you exactly as many Credits as you can buy for that amount in the shop – 3,000. Unlike the previous Pryde Before the Fall bundle, you won’t find a Series 4 card variant here, just a Groot variant, which is a Series 1 card.
But it’s worth noting the affordability of the bundle – 2,400 Gold can be collected by an F2P player in about a month if they complete all activities. This doesn’t justify 100% of the Progress Value of the bundle, but if you need to spend Gold on something else in the future, purchasing this bundle won’t hit your wallet as hard as a bundle with the same 100% Progress Value but costing 5,000 or 7,500 Gold.
Nevertheless, 0% additional Progress Value speaks against purchasing this bundle.
Comparison With Other Bundles
If you compare the I am Iron Groot bundle with other bundles released in the last 6 months, you’ll see it falls short compared to many of them due to its 100% Progress Value.
A similar trend is observed among bundles in the same price range over the past 12 months – only the failed Long Live The King bundle is worse than the I am Iron Groot bundle.
However, if you look at the comparison of bundles by the value of Credits for Gold, there’s a small surprise for those who haven’t been keeping up with bundles.
The thing is, bundles with a favorable Credits to Gold ratio haven’t been released for quite some time, with the last one being Operation: Summer Break, which came out back in June 2024. Therefore, even though this bundle doesn’t show outstanding results here either, in theory, it can be considered as an alternative to buying Credits in the shop, since the likelihood of seeing a bundle with only Credits at a favorable rate is currently not very high.
The Usefulness Of The Variant In The Meta
As I mentioned earlier, Groot is a Series 1 card, so we’ll consider this bundle only from the perspective of Groot’s performance in the current meta. Well, it can be said that such performance is virtually nonexistent.
Groot has never been a particularly actively played card in Marvel Snap, and it’s hard to imagine a future where he would be. So, if you purchase the bundle, it’s likely that this variant will just gather dust in your collection.
Nevertheless, below are two decks: one for a more complete collection and one for a beginner player, where Groot can be useful and playable.
Conclusion
Thus, the I am Iron Groot bundle isn’t particularly interesting for purchase – it has low Progress Value, a variant for a not very playable card, and no hidden advantages besides the low price.
You can consider it as an alternative to buying Credits in the shop if you would have bought them anyway, but buying the bundle for any benefit isn’t worth it – there isn’t any. Therefore, we rate it 1 star out of 5.
