Eternity Range Featured Location Guide: Strategy, Best Cards and Decks

This week's Marvel Snap Featured Location is Eternity Range. Here's our proposed strategy, with the best cards and decks that you can try (including for Pool 1 and Pool 2 players) for the next 48 hours!

This week’s Marvel Snap Featured Location is Eternity Range: After turn 3, add a Rock to the losing player’s side. This is a brand new location for Marvel Snap’s Savage Land Season, now added to the Location pool. For the next 48 hours, it will show up 40% more frequently in games during this feature period. Let’s find out what the best strategies, cards, and decks are!

What is Eternity Range?

We are on our way for a visit to the Savage Land! Our first stop, the Eternity Range, the set of beautiful mountains to the north of the valley. Watch out and keep your head inside the vehicle at all times as we drive through here. Sometimes Rocks fall and… WATCH OUT!

Strategy

The effect for this location goes off after the end of Turn 3, which means we can always fall back on location interaction. It also only impacts the losing side so playing into it early with more power than your opponent gains you the advantage.

Cards such as Debrii demonstrate the power of essentially junking a location on your side of the board and playing into or around this location could be frustrating. However it does not appear to be a location which requires heavy changes to decks. The effect is minimal and many decks can work around the one missing slot to still contest. The Raft demonstrates that going hard into a location to win the location, even for a powerful effect, early in the game can backfire as later combos outscale your power. Eternity Range also runs this risk.

Synergy with Junk decks may make playing the Lockation styles decks more successful during the featured location. Patriot and Ka-Zar can also buff the Rocks if we want to build solid decks which can compete for the location with less downside if we are losing at the location on turn 3.

This Debrii-based deck aims to put extra junk into Eternity Range in which hopefully you add an extra Rock in by winning the lane. Viper has the added benefit of being able to send your Rock across also if you do lose the lane and Debrii can add an extra Rock to the lane.

Storm, Professor X and Spider-Man help us mid-game to lock down another lane. Spider-Woman is under utilised in this archetype, playing her on 6 with the Demon from The Hood can be a 17 power play on a lane which can lock down a lot of lanes, and if you have thrown some junk over already, it can be the finisher required.

Having one extra locked spot from Eternity Range may help this deck gain some percentages it would not normally have and make it worth exploring during the location.

As this one is significantly different, here is another version utilising Luke Cage and Titania. The goal here is to use Hazmat whenever you can to debuff and the negate the effect with Luke Cage.

Don’t be afraid to use her early to do the debuff either, this is not a combo deck – it just a cheaper way to buff your board indirectly by debuffing your opponent. Titania acts as an extra junk when you can and a potential finisher with Spider-Woman.

The featured build is a classic Patriot deck but the same idea will apply to most Patriot lists and I would recommend picking your favorite Patriot list and trying it.

We don’t want to go out of our way to lose Eternity Range, but as an added bonus the deck will have the advantage of being able to use the Rock later for more power than the opponent. Debrii features again for the same reason, for potential additional disruption and your deck is built to us it more than your opponent.

Silver Surfer and Patriot can also benefit Debrii, and this is likely an even stronger version in general while having some advantage from the location.

Using the Dracula Zero Zoo lists which have now become popular is one direction, as Ka-Zar makes use of the Rock if you lose. Instead of featuring that though, here is something which might be insane.

Zero Zoo deck with the Dracula combo with The Infinaut and Red Skull. The idea is we can reduce the cost of Ka-Zar, Typhoid Mary, Dracula and Enchantress with Zabu for some big Turns 4, 5 and 6. This hopefully leaves a big target in hand for your Dracula while you power pushing everywhere.

As much as Junk decks may be more fun with this location than usual, Silver Surfer Patriot is potentially the strongest as it can use the location in any situation and is just a solid deck overall.

Devil Dinosaur may not seem like the best way, but given the potential for less space, playing some big drops that we can play to win locations alone may be the way to go. Also if you can win the lane, this deck will allow you to push a large card on the later turns to win.

This deck uses Professor X and Hobgoblin as ways to finish on Eternity Range. Hobgoblin is under used in Series 2 and is excellent into this location. You can either use it on 5 to finish Eternity Range or play it into a neglected lane if your opponent committed into Eternity Range early game. Rest is a strong Ongoing shell we can use Spectrum to buff.
