Anti-Venom Decks & Week in Review: Bonus Challenge Guide

Complete the Bonus Challenge Missions efficiently using our decks, or find out how they are performing with our review and decide if you should get the card!

During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold, and Credits!

You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. However, you don’t have to play the card during the course of the match for it to count, it just needs to be in your starting twelve!

There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.

We Are Venom: Bonus Challenges – November 1, 2024

This week’s Bonus Challenge Missions are:

Mission#Reward
TBA15150 Credits
Win with Anti-Venom starting in your Deck4200 Collector’s Tokens
Win with Agent Venom starting in your Deck8150 Gold

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you a few different decks that incorporate all the cards featured each weekend. You can find the current best performing deck for each card down below, as well as two other options to match your collection or play style preferences.

We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new card’s performance this week.

Anti-Venom Performance

Anti-Venom Meta Stats

Anti-Venom is a card that has very reasonable numbers so far, and it looks like your success with the card depends heavily on your mastery of Snaps and Retreats. Indeed, the numbers indicate that the card helps its deck win more games, as both the Win Rate and Cube Rate are better when the card is played rather than drawn.

With that said, the 51.2% Win Rate on Play and 0.27 Cube Rate on Play are both pretty weak. Those metrics are definitely not enough to consider Anti-Venom an impactful card in the current meta.

If you enjoy Marvel Snap for the Snaps and Retreats, Anti-Venom could be a card for you. If you are looking to build a deck with the best Win Rate, or if you want a very reliable deck, then I think you can probably skip this week’s card.

Agent Venom Performance

Agent Venom Meta Stats History

Agent Venom has finally passed the symbolic mark of 10% representation in the meta across all ranks, so I can only imagine its popularity at the competitive ranks. With that said, Agent Venom is facing himself so much that the performance numbers don’t make much sense. Playing more mirror matches means your Win Rate will drift towards 50% since the games count as both a win and a loss.

Long story short, Agent Venom is still great. More people are playing it as time passes, likely because the community has yet to figure out a counter for the card, so the metrics don’t really represent the full picture.

While neither of the two Anti-Venom decks are on top of the meta, their numbers are good enough to give you some choices when completing your weekend missions. I don’t think I have to introduce Hela anymore; the archetype immediately becomes one of the most popular whenever it is good enough to be played. I imagine many will default to this one for their missions, so just know that Anti-Venom can be used to get a free Hela if she’s still in your deck. This allows you to play a big card alongside the Goddess of Death on the last turn. In addition, Luke Cage restores the power of your cards back to full, so you can just slam Anti-Venom whenever you draw it.

The second deck focuses on that same interaction with Luke Cage in order to make Anti-Venom work, which gives the deck more explosive power when it goes right. Pixie and Mobius M. Mobius are the core of the deck, but the new 4-Cost gives you another shot at cheating energy to catch your opponent off guard.

For the missions, I would say Hela will likely be more effective at winning four games quickly. However, the second list is certainly more exotic, and it could potentially bring you more cubes if you trust your Snap instincts.

Starter Card

Agent Venom has up to five different archetypes at this point, all of which are able to be competitive. That’s more than enough to complete the missions. I included the two most original ones at the moment, but Sera Control, Bounce, and Good Cards Darkhawk are just as capable of winning the required eight games.

Closing Thoughts

For yet another week, Agent Venom is a powerhouse that you should have no trouble winning eight games with. Anti-Venom might be more of a struggle, but you only have to win four games with a high-roll based card, so it shouldn’t be too difficult either. Plus, it allows us play under-the-radar decks, which is a nice change of pace (if you pick the Pixie deck that is).

Hopefully this guide helps you decide if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, as well as what you can play to complete the missions quickly!

Good Game Everyone.
