Table of Contents
Bastion and Viv Vision follow a similar path at the moment, both cards being decently popular and playable in multiple archetypes, but with a clear performance drop once we look at the highest ranks.
Bastion is more balanced in terms of results, while the 4-cost also looks more important to the decks including him. Viv Vision on the other end, feels all or nothing, and often replaceable with another 3-cost if anyone without the season pass wanted to play that deck.
In the OTA, Moira X took a huge blow with Killmonger being nerfed, making Bastion the default best card of the season so far. However, the 4-cost hasn’t posted the kind of results many expected it would, meaning Visions of the Future is off to a pretty quiet start.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 2-Cost Cards | 15 | 300 Credits |
| Win with Bastion starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Viv Vision starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Bastion Performance

At all ranks, Bastion isn’t as popular as expected, but is posting solid numbers. Its Win Rate on Play largely beats the On Draw, meaning the card has an impact when it hits the board. Because of that impact, the Cube Rate on Play plummets compared to the On Draw, indicating Bastion is scary enough to make opponents be cautious with their cubes.
The story is different in the Infinite Ranks, with both metrics in the danger zone. Looking at the best decks with the card, it seems like Iron Hand isn’t such a great landing spot for Bastion, as that archetype had much worse results than Cerebro 3 or Ongoing. There were some good Iron Hand builds with Bastion, but it might be a more complicated equation than simply throwing the 4-cost into any list.

Viv Vision Performance

The season pass looks like two different cards depending on which area we look at. On a global scale, Viv Vision is doing well, with a decent popularity paired with good Win and Cube Rates. Then, it looks like the card is completely fine to play in order to climb up to the Infinite Rank.
Once in those ranks however, the narrative takes a dramatic turn. Indeed, Viv Vision remains popular, actually even more than it is across all ranks. Yet, the card looks like a liability, posting negative Cube and Win averages.
Overall, Viv Vision looks like a decent card to play outside the most competitive environments, but a liability once it is time to play for higher stakes.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Viv Vision and Bastion don’t share any archetype, but both have solid decks to be included into. Arguably, Bastion feels a little more necessary to the decks it is a part of, except for Bullseye. Viv Vision makes sense, but could easily be replaced if someone without the card wanted to play those decks.
Even if their numbers aren’t great at the moment, especially in the higher ranks, both cards have multiple archetypes they see play in, which is a great sign, at least when it comes to their flexibility. Then, although it might come with a few losses, the missions should not be a problem to complete.
