The current metagame is as diverse as it gets, with about 15 decks one could play. In that situation, there isn’t a good way to attack the metagame, as there are too many possibilities. One could start with just playing the best decks and see if they like the gameplay, find decks they know they will enjoy and try to better them, or simply go to a simple recipe to find a sense of control.
In this session, we just gave various decks a try, see if there was one we liked, and worked from there.
This is where we ended after tinkering a bit, a very flexible deck with Loki serving as a way out of the bad hands. Then, we tried to understand what the deck does well, and the areas we didn’t really have an edge over the competition, using the usual Core / Flex / Tech spread.

There, we could see that we had a ton of flexibility, but were not doing anything else particularly better than the other decks. Our ability to disrupt, or create lots of points in particular, were pretty limited. Now at least, we know what we need to work on if we want the deck to progress!
Remember, you can attend those sessions for free with a Marvel Snap Zone Premium membership. It can be a bit messy on video as we simply are recording our Discord call, but the live interaction make the game much more fun!
