It’s only been 3 months since the release of Wail of a Time, which featured a Scream variant. And here’s another one… Let’s see if the Loud And Lethal bundle screams value or if it’s just loud with nothing interesting inside.
Despite the fact that this bundle contains only Credits, and such bundles are usually better than their Token counterparts – everything here is surprisingly modest: 0.9 Total Tokens per Gold, 110% Progress Value and a price that leans more towards the high range than the low one.
And as a bonus, of course, there’s a variant for Scream, though most likely everyone who wanted to get it via a bundle already did so 3 months ago with much better value.
Comparison With Other Bundles
110% Progress Value is quite weak in comparison, as is usually the case with bundles containing Credits. Overall it’s fine since it’s specifically the Tokens that have an inflated price in the shop, which makes bundles with them look more profitable. Credits are already sold at a pretty good price, and bundles only make such an offer slightly better.
So in the charts below the Loud And Lethal bundle loses to many others in terms of Progress Value.
The story continues when comparing it to other bundles in a similar price range. In both charts the bundle is below average for the reasons already mentioned above.
And so, Total Tokens for Gold also show a weak result unfortunately, even though there was hope.
Among bundles over the past year Loud And Lethal loses to many and is below average. And among bundles for the last 6 months it barely stays at the average level.
As I’ve said many times – 0.9 Total Tokens per Gold is that golden value above which almost any bundle is worth taking, and below – skipping. In this case we’re at a crossroads and the answer to the question “is it worth it” depends on the circumstances in each specific case.
For example, for some players (including myself) the bundle can be valuable if you’re already buying the best value-for-money Booster Packs every Monday, but you still have Gold left that can be spent on Credits to get new splits and CL track progress.
But if you take Booster Packs out of the equation, you’ll find that the Loud And Lethal bundle performs quite well and is second only to November’s Clone With a Cause when looking at recent bundles. This makes Loud And Lethal a good alternative to Booster Packs for getting Credits at a better rate than the 1.25 shop ratio.
However, this only applies if you’re already buying Booster Packs. Otherwise, it’s better to focus on them – just 1,800 Gold per month (almost all the Gold an F2P player gets per season) and the highest value, excluding bundles with cards that you might not have in theory.
What if you don’t have Scream?
Of course, if you don’t have Scream yet after almost a year and a half since her release and you missed the November bundle with her, then buying the Loud And Lethal bundle now will give you even more value than otherwise.
In that case, because of the included Series 5 card, the bundle becomes extremely profitable and easily beats any other offers in their base version. So yeah, if you’re interested in Scream – definitely get it.
Use cases for the Scream variant
And as for where you can use Scream or her variant – it’s simple.
Scream basically forms her own archetype and is rarely seen outside of it. If you like that kind of gameplay, she’s a deck-defining card that you can’t do without.
Below are a couple of Scream decks: the first one is more modern with Shou-Lao, and the second is more traditional and still actively used in the meta today without Shou-Lao.
Conclusion
Thus, I can recommend the bundle to players who chase new splits and buy Booster Packs every Monday and still have an extra 4,000 Gold, as well as to those who want to build a Scream deck and don’t have the card in their collection.
Otherwise – skip, because apart from the fact that there’s a pretty good ratio of Credits to Gold, this bundle isn’t particularly remarkable. Therefore, 2.5 stars, considering all the charts and numbers.
