It seems the good bundles are still rolling in for a little while longer.
The Wail of a Time bundle, which got a 5-star rating, was released just 2 weeks ago, and we’re already getting something quite comparable in value! Clone With a Cause is a rather rare case where an already decent bundle with the 7,000 Credits for 5,000 Gold formula, which we’ve seen many times before, turns into a very worthy bundle by reducing the price by just 500 Gold.
So let’s dive in and look at the bundle from all angles.
124% Progress Value, close to the benchmark 130% – that’s what you want to see in any bundle. And this isn’t value in the form of Tokens, but in Credits, which have additional cosmetic value thanks to new splits and all the cosmetics you’ll get on the CL track.
The Total Tokens per Gold value is also just excellent! 0.9 could already be considered a reason to consider a purchase, and 1.03 is indeed one of the best results you can see in a bundle.
As the cherry on top, the bundle offers not only a variant for a high series card, which we’ve already gotten used to, but also a bonus in the form of a card border. While this doesn’t affect Progress Value, it’s still a nice addition.
Comparison With Other Bundles
In terms of Progress Value, the bundle is slightly inferior to Wail of a Time bundle, but still ranks among other top bundles of recent months. After all, 124% Progress Value isn’t something you see too often among unique bundles, especially for under 5,000 Gold.
Within its price category, the bundle also has to compete with bundles for 5,000 and slightly less. The picture here is similar – the bundle is among the top, but doesn’t take first place.
And finally, what we’re here for today – Total Tokens for Gold! In the entire past year, we’ve only seen 3 bundles better than Clone With a Cause. These are The One Who Knocks (as usual), Border Bundle, and the recent Wail of a Time.
But it’s worth noting that The One Who Knocks was released in 2024, during a different economy, and if we take a six-month period, then only Wail of a Time is even better than the Clone With a Cause bundle.
Among unique bundles, Clone With a Cause is only surpassed in Credits per Gold by the same bundles we’ve already discussed – The One Who Knocks and Border Bundle. However, with that exception, it boasts the 3rd best Credits per Gold ratio in the last 12 months and the 2nd best for 2025!
Even if we add regular Booster Packs into the equation, Clone With a Cause doesn’t fall too far behind them, offering 1.56 Credits per Gold compared to their 1.67. While that’s still more, you can’t buy a lot of currency at once with Booster Packs – but here you can!
What if you don’t have Scarlet Spider?
If you don’t have Scarlet Spider yet – along with the bundle you’ll get his base version for free, which essentially adds a Series 5 card or about 6,000 Tokens to the bundle.
And of course, if you add so much value to an already good deal you’ll get an even better bundle. So yes, it’s a must-have if you don’t have the card yet.
Use cases for the Scarlet Spider variant
But when it comes to Scarlet Spider’s usefulness – things get weird.
The thing is, in over a year since his release, he hasn’t found a good, stable meta deck. He appears in various builds and concepts, none of which are clear representatives of the top competitive decks.
Among such decks, I’d like to highlight the 3 main ones that currently have the best stats, albeit with a small sample size. These are the Namor deck with Wong, the Silver 5 deck, and a deck that relies solely on buff synergies.
But even in these decks, Scarlet Spider isn’t exactly mandatory, so you won’t miss out on much if you skip the bundle with the card.
Conclusion
Thus, Clone With a Cause ranks very highly across the board.
The only thing casting a shadow on it is the Wail of a Time bundle, preventing us from confidently saying it’s the best bundle of 2025. Nevertheless, I think that even for the 2nd or 3rd best bundle of 2025, 5 stars is a perfectly fair rating, especially since according to recent leaks, we might not expect similar value in the coming months, excluding regular Booster Packs.
So, for some, this bundle might be closer to 4.5 stars, but for me, it can definitely be rated a full 5. Especially since, thanks to its excellent Credit value for Gold, it offers more cosmetics than Wail of a Time and is a great choice for getting lots of splits (around 5.5 splits in total, and 1 more split than you’d typically expect when spending that much Gold on Credits).
So yes, the bundle is excellent. But if you don’t have that much Gold, don’t get discouraged and check out Booster Packs available every Monday. They are still the best way to spend Gold in the long run, but keep in mind it’s a very slow process since these bundles are only available once a week.
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Clone With a Cause bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
