After a series of 5,000 Gold bundles we’re once again faced with a cheaper option. Will the bundle’s half price help or isn’t the content worth it? Let’s find out.
111% Progress Value and 0.87 Total Tokens per Gold at a price of 2,500 Gold is a decent result at first glance. That said, even that amount of Gold means a F2P player would have to save up for an entire season without buying anything else. You can also notice the bundle includes a Series 2 card variant, so it adds no extra value.
Comparison With Other Bundles
As for how it stacks up against other bundles, over a 12-month period it’s just below average, and across 6 months it flat-out falls apart next to others. Only the base values of the Femme Fatale bundle are worse, but that one came with a Series 5 card variant, which this doesn’t.
Within its price range the bundle performs similarly. It’s around average in a 12-month analysis and falls well behind bundles released over the last 6 months.
By the key metric of Total Tokens per Gold (you won’t believe it) it’s the same! Among 12-month bundles it’s around average but among bundles released in the last 6 months it sinks right to the bottom.
There’s barely any point talking about Credits per Gold, but just in case – the ratio is awful. If you’re here for Credits – pass on this bundle: 0.4 Credits per Gold doesn’t even come close to the standard rate of 1.25.
So there’s only one conclusion – no matter which metric you look at, this bundle performs really poorly compared to the latest improved bundles. And it certainly can’t compete with the 5,000 Gold bundles featuring Series 4/5 cards or Booster Packs. Such a bundle wouldn’t have been so bad if it’d launched in 2024 but it’s 2025 now, and here it clearly loses out to its competitors.
Use cases for the Vulture variant
As I mentioned earlier – Vulture is a Series 2 card, so there’s no extra value this time.
As for decks where Vulture finds its use, it’s primarily Bounce Move, which hasn’t been performing as well lately as it did a few months ago. And yet it’s pretty much the only competitive deck that includes Vulture on a regular basis.
Also, Vulture shows up in experimental Pure Move decks, like the one below. It can even outperform Bounce Move thanks to its lower presence in the meta and, as a result, unpredictability.
For those who might want to play with Vulture at a lower collection level – here’s a budget Move deck that only includes Series 3 cards and below.
Conclusion
Thus, it’s really hard for me to see this bundle among the recommended ones – it has mediocre numbers, no variant for a high-series card and it outright loses to its closest alternative, Booster Packs.
Judge for yourself: 5 Booster Packs (2 cheap and 3 expensive) cost 2,400 Gold and give you 4,000 Credits, which converts to 2,628 Tokens (1.1 Total Tokens per Gold).
The Talon Tyrant bundle costs 2,500 Gold and gives you 2,157 Tokens (0.86 Total Tokens per Gold).
In both cases a F2P player will have to save up Gold for the whole season. And the resource gap between these options is pretty big.
So I wouldn’t seriously consider buying this bundle right now. Better save up for more worthwhile bundles or spend Gold on Booster Packs – either way it’ll be a great use of your Gold!
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Talon Tyrant bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
