Here we have a new bundle for 5,000 Gold. Its value seems just awful, but the prospect of getting a good Series 5 card might change everything for someone. Let’s break it down.
Traditionally, let’s first look at the bundle from the perspective of those who already have Diamondback. In this case, it seems quite weak – 1.3 Credits per Gold is only slightly better than the base value of 1.25 Credits per Gold, which gives a bonus of just 250 Credits when purchasing the bundle at such a high price of 5,000 Gold.
The total number of Tokens you can expect on average by purchasing this bundle is slightly better compared to the base value. In the Token Shop, you can buy Tokens at a rate of 0.77 Tokens per Gold, while the Femme Fatale bundle has a value of 0.85 Total Tokens per Gold, which gives a benefit of approximately 425 Tokens.
Thus, the value of the bundle at its high price seems quite insignificant. So let’s see how it compares to other bundles.
Comparison With Other Bundles
As can be seen from the graphs below, the Femme Fatale bundle is almost at the bottom of the ranking compared to other bundles, regardless of the comparison period. Both among all bundles and within its price category, it is simply uncompetitive, with a Progress Value of only 104%, which is too low, especially for a price of 5,000 Gold.
If we compare the bundle with others in terms of Credits per Gold, the situation isn’t great either. Booster Pack bundles significantly outperform it, having a value of 1.67 Credits per Gold compared to a modest 1.3 here. Even if we don’t take the Booster Packs into account, it still turns out that many bundles are noticeably higher than Femme Fatale, and those that are lower simply include both Credits and Tokens, which explains the low value of Credits per Gold.
However, if you’re only interested in Credits and new Splits, it’s still worth considering the bundle for purchase, since the value of Credits for Gold is still over 1.25, and with a large balance (over 10,000 Gold), the purchase might even be a good deal.
In terms of the overall value of Tokens for Gold (and thus the number of cards for every 700 Gold), the Femme Fatale bundle is slightly above average when comparing a 12-month period and slightly below average when looking at bundles from the last 6 months.
Therefore, against other bundles in terms of the actual number of cards you get from it, the Femme Fatale bundle is quite mediocre, while other bundles either cost less with similar value or cost the same but provide significantly more.
What if you don’t have Diamondback?
Despite the low values of the bundle in its base version, if you don’t have Diamondback, then you won’t just be able to play with the variant instead of the base card, but you’ll also exclude the base card from the Snap Pack card pool. In the next update, you’ll even receive the base card for that variant!
So, you basically get a free Series 5 card if you don’t have Diamondback. And it significantly affects the graphs, where the bundle pulls far ahead of the others and shines above all thanks to its 265% Progress Value and a Diamondback card costing 6,000 Collector’s Tokens.
Thus, if you don’t have Diamondback, the bundle offers great value for you, especially since Diamondback is quite strong in the current meta, which we’ll discuss in the next section.
The Usefulness of the Variant in the Meta
Unlike many other bundles that feature a Series 5 card option, this bundle has a well-chosen card, as Toxic decks are Tier 1 in the current meta, and Diamondback plays an important role in the archetype, often allowing you to win a location almost single-handedly thanks to her strong effect.
However, despite its strength in Toxic decks, Diamondback isn’t a universal card and doesn’t appear outside of the archetype. So if Toxic decks get weakened, Diamondback might sit in your collection for a while. Nevertheless, right now it’s a great card to get for free with a bundle.
Conclusion
Thus, the Femme Fatale bundle isn’t particularly valuable if you have Diamondback and isn’t worth its 5,000 Gold.
A rare exception could be “whales” or players who have collected over 10,000 Gold and don’t need resources other than Credits for new splits. Here, of course, you could extract a bit more value, but the case is too niche.
If you don’t have Diamondback, I’d strongly recommend getting the bundle, as the card is definitely worth it. Even if you aren’t planning to play Toxic decks yet, it’s likely a good boost for your collection.
In the end, I believe that the Femme Fatale bundle can be rated at 1.5 stars for those who have Diamondback and for those who don’t have her, the bundle is a must-have and can be rated at 5 stars or even higher.
