During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Weekend Missions! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens and Gold! This week’s Weekend Challenges are:
Mission | # | Reward |
---|---|---|
Win a Location with 4 Cards | 12 | 200 Credits |
Win with Elsa Bloodstone starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Win with Werewolf By Night starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. There will be Weekly Missions available for each new card release. The goal of Weekly Missions is to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens from new cards and subsidize their cost.
The token missions are expected to differ from week to week, depending on the card. For example, three wins for 100 Collector’s Tokens, four wins for 300, and five wins for 500, depending on the week (1,000 Collector’s Tokens is on the highest end).

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you three different decks that incorporate Werewolf By Night and Elsa Bloodstone.
We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the deck and finish the missions quickly, but first let’s take a quick look at the new card’s performance this week.

Performance

Werewolf By Night is the final Series 5 card of the Bloodstone Season, and it was identified before its release as potentially the strongest card of the season. With the ability scaling with every On Reveal played, the past few days have been filled with leaping Werewolves and the highest power a 3-drop has ever seen.
However, is the performance actually as good as it seems? What is the best deck to complete the missions with this weekend? Well, let’s discuss my experience with and against the card to see just how good Werewolf By Night really is.

The short answer is yes: Werewolf By Night has already been included in a wide variety of decks with success, and it is not uncommon to get the card over ten power with ease. This makes the card a lane-winning threat for only three energy.
What really pushed the card over the edge, though, was the synergy it has with 1-Cost On Reveal cards. This allowed the card to be included in decks that focus on playing lots of these cards and replaying them – such as Loki decks and Elsa Bloodstone decks.

The other synergies all worked as expected, but the ceiling for them just doesn’t meet the same level as including the card with low-cost cards.
Silver Surfer allows for the good 3-Cost control cards to be played along with the Werewolf (which is used as a big threat that hops around the board gaining power). This clearly adds power to this archetype, and it is likely to be a staple for this style of deck.
Movement decks also gained a lot from Werewolf By Night since it allows for another threat to easily move around.

Two key counters have appeared. First, hitting the Werewolf with Shadow King is devastating. Decks that can incorporate the it can use Shadow King to remove all the work from their opponent’s plays.
Another emerging way to counter the decks is Lockation / Junk decks. Werewolf needs two spaces on a location to function, which makes it susceptible to strategies that can quickly limit your space.
So, how do you use Werewolf By Night to rack up wins and complete the Weekend Challenge Missions?
Loki
Loki is the best shell to include Elsa Bloodstone and Werewolf By Night side by side. Here, you have plenty of ways to trigger the Werewolf, which makes it another big threat alongside The Collector.
The card makes the deck able to compete easily and without playing Loki. This gives you a lot flexibility, but it also requires decisions to be made early on about what line you’ll be going with. Loki gives you game plans into almost any deck while developing huge threats that your opponent has to answer.
Move
Werewolf is a movement card, which means any movement deck should consider the card. These cards also often have On Reveal abilities, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to buff Werewolf By Night. You can then try to rely on the Werewolf as one of your primary lane winners.
Silver Surfer
The final deck to try for getting your missions complete is Silver Surfer. While the ceiling of this deck is not as high as the Loki deck, it is both solid and consistent in what it does. This allows the deck to be a more forgiving option.
The 3-Cost cards also give you a lot of good tech options to include, such as Killmonger, Cosmo, and the new and improved Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
Closing Thoughts
Wins with the new card may seem a tall order some weeks depending what quality of card is released. Hopefully this guide helps you decide first if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, and what you can potentially play to complete the missions quickly!
Good Luck, Have Fun, and Stay Safe!
