The full Marvel Snap 2.0.2 patch notes are now out, and the update is live:
Marvel Snap players currently enjoying the closed beta is anticipating a game update sometime this week, according to Ben Brode. Players are collecting new cards, climbing the Collection Level rewards and reaching Pool 3 to obtain some more powerful cards.

On Reveal: Destroy your other cards here. +2 Power for each destroyed.

Due to the nature of this progression system, some powerful cards have already dominated the meta, namely the combination of Nova + Carnage, and Moon Girl + Devil Dinosaur. Players may be expecting some sort of rebalancing for such cards, as well as buffing of underpowered cards.
Some of those changes in the patch this week may have been inadvertently shown on Twitter before the update goes live. Charlene, Product Manager of Second Dinner, has shared with us four decks that they used to climb the ranked ladder with and reach the Infinite rank:
We can see some cards have modified cost and power:
- Okoye:
- 2 cost â–¶ 1 cost
- Devil Dinosaur:
- 3 cost â–¶ 4 cost
- Moon Girl:
- 3 cost â–¶ 4 cost
- 3 power â–¶ 4 power
Note that these changes may not be final and we may see different results when the patch arrives this week, and the changes may also be reflected on the card abilities, not just their cost and power. Okoye’s cost has been reduced, but the card was already widely played and will be interesting to see whether the On Reveal effect will be changed.
