Clans 1.0 – Alliances or T.E.A.M.S., Upcoming Patch Dates, and Black Vortex

We have some Marvel Snap news wire for you today! The upcoming patch for March 2024 has been delayed by a week, players are seeing the new Location Black Vortex in the wild, and players are able to provide feedback on what they want the upcoming clan feature to be called.

Upcoming Patch Dates

The upcoming OTA Balance Update will be held on February 29, 2024 as per schedule, but the upcoming patch has been delayed according to Second Dinner. Hela has caused quite a stir in the current metagame in a season themed around new Discard-based cards.

The last patch was on February 7th (delayed by a day), which means the patch would have been due on March 5th, the same day as the next season, Avengers vs. X-Men. However, the next patch will be scheduled for March 12th instead, and the subsequent one on April 9th.

This brings us to the next topic on hand – what new feature will be in these patches?

Clans 1.0

According to the latest Development Roadmap on January 2024, the following features were classified as “Coming Soon”:

• Album Improvements
• In-Game Events
• Character Mastery
• Selectable Card Effects
• Selectable Borders
• New Infinity Splits
• Collectible Reactions

While these features are expected to be the first ones to arrive in upcoming patches, players may have received the following notification in-game, on what they should call the new upcoming ‘clan’ system – Alliances, or T.E.A.M.S.?

This feature was classified as “In Development” along with the following features:

• Clans 1.0
• Collectible Borders
• Booster Vats
• More Event Types
• In-Game Graveyard

So what will this clan system entail? Here’s what we know so far:

We’ve heard your requests for a more social experience in Snap, and we’re excited to announce we’ve been actively prototyping the first version of clans. This new feature will enable you to join or create clans, working together to complete missions and earn collective points. The more points your clan accumulates, the greater the rewards for all members. The Clans feature will be rolled out in phases, allowing us to gather feedback and refine the system along the way… Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to releasing the first version of Clans.

Conclusion

Many players may already be familiar with other mobile game guild or clan systems. and it does not always lead to positive thoughts. Playing with other players can be fun, but this might also end up “giving “forcing” more daily things to do for players to catch up. Of course, you can choose to ignore it – but rewards are always hard to resist!
