This week’s Marvel Snap Featured Location is Asteroid M: After you play a 3 or 4-Cost card, move it here. This is a brand new location for Marvel Snap’s March 2023 season, Days of Future Past, now added to the Location pool. For the next 24 hours, it will now have a 50% chance of showing up in games. Let’s find out what the best strategies, cards, and decks are with the new patch!
What is the Asteroid M?

Asteroid M is the space station built by Magneto and the home of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. It has served as his home base on many occasions, always being rebuilt just in time for another epic battle.
Strategy

This effect is totally unique. As long as there is space in the location, all your 3 to 4-cost cards are moving to this location. This immediately looks most enticing to Move decks, in particular decks carrying Vulture. Also, as card effects happen before location effects, Doctor Strange can pull a card THEN move away to the location. Lastly, Kraven sitting on Asteroid M could get huge as cards from both sides come moving over.

Outside of this, we usually want 3 and 4-cost cards in our decks, but a few may indirectly be able to have advantages playing into the location like, for example, Juggernaut and Polaris. We can use Juggernaut to control one location before being whisked away to Asteroid M.

Another way to find edges could be cards like Jessica Jones, Rescue, and Crossbones. We can play these on a location beneficial for the effect and then move to Asteroid M. This could work with a lot of the 3 and 4-drops we play, and thinking about them may help find little edges during this featured location.

The downside of the location is it could end up leading to awkward situations if there are 3 or 4-drops you want to play on a specific location. Mister Fantastic, Attuma, Warpath, and even Darkhawk are good examples. Although not unplayable, heavy reliance on these cards could result in some awkward games.
We can turn this location off by flooding it with cards or, obviously, changing it with Scarlet Witch and the like. There’s a lot of counter play you can do if required. All these factors lead to an interesting location where little edges can be found in game play.
Card and Deck Ideas
Move
This is a Beast Move list, which should allow us to take advantage of the location with Vulture, Doctor Strange, and Polaris. As a full move deck we have Kraven to sit on the location and hopefully get extra buffs.
Juggernaut Sera Control
This deck aims to operate in a similar fashion to Sera Control lists but use Sera to set up one or two move cards alongside the typical control cards on Turn 6. Polaris and Juggernaut help us control lanes and then move to Asteroid M for our awaiting Kraven. Cloak and Dagger make an appearance instead of other power cards as they synergize with the package while pushing power similar to the usual inclusions (such as Lizard).
Movement Control
This final deck looks to use a strong early game package to seize initiative before playing Crossbones or Rescue and letting them move into Asteroid M. This opens up flexibility in how we activate the effects. We also have Shuri into Vision in the list as a potential finisher. This one is less reliant on Asteroid M to reach it’s potential.
What You Should Play
Move is the way to go if you’re looking to utilize the location. We have multiple 3 and 4-cost cards that can be activated multiple times with the featured location. When the location doesn’t show, the deck still has a solid game plan to follow.
